I've been looking around for a pair of water shoes for myself and DH. I never realized how un-attractive some of them are! And the ones that are somewhat decent looking aren't very cheap. Where are some good places to look? I'd love to see what some of you have...there seem to be so many different styles out there. I don't want to spend a fortune...I just need something that will keep our feet from getting hot when walking around in the waterparks, and that will stay on while on the slides.

I don't know if you have a Dick's Sporting Goods store near you. There were on sale over the weekend and they didn't look too bad. I usually get DS's at Walmart because they're cheap and he grows out of them so fast. Not so stylish though. lol

I got mine at Lands End last year. This year the ones at Lands End look better than last year. They cost about $25 or $30.

I love Sanuk Sidewalk Surfers! They are great as regular slip on shoes, too. They dry out super fast, and I think they're pretty cute! If you search Amazon, type in "Sanuk Sidewalk Surfer" I have the "Plain Jane" in white with yellow thread.... My husband really likes them too! They are great for the water park, love them!!:)

Are these the ones you can wear in the pool, too? I had planned on taking my daughter to a public pool this summer but the thought of bare feet touching anything just skeeves me out!

Just brought some Land's End ones and they do not look like typical water shoes. I'm happy with them!

After the whole day at Blizzard Beach without them last month, I didn't care how ugly they were and bought a pair at the park for our day at Typhoon Lagoon. The bottoms of the wave pools in particular, and the steps getting out of the pools at the ends of the slides were murder on my feet, worse than the hot pavement. We scraped and stubbed our toes multiple times, it was really unpleasant.

Our Academy has them in every size for $4.99. I don't know if you would think they are cute. But they work!

I got a pair of Lands' End water shoes in the off season on clearance for about $9.00. Doesn't help now...but a thought for later to buy some this winter. ;)

Yup, you can wear Sanuks in the pool! I used to work in a shoe store, and the spiel we were taught about these shoes is that a group of surfer people invented them, they wanted a water shoe that looked like a real shoe that they could go from beach to sidewalk (thus the sidewalk surfer) and have them not be dumb looking, haha. I wore mine all day at Blizzard Beach the last time we were there. Floating in the lazy river, then hiking to the slides.... They dry out really quickly! Husband loves his, too. He was anti water shoe til I got him wearing these. :)

Lands End. They have some great looking water shoes...and they aren't the typical ugly cheapy ones you can get from Walmart or wherever.

I bought some from lands end a few months ago. I wore them all day while at discovery cove in orlando. They gave me huge blisters on both of my little toes. I was going on a disney cruise the next day and had nothing to wear at castaway cay

I wore them around the house a lot before I left and they felt fine, so I think it has something to do with the water.

Our local T.J. Maxx had water shoes of all sizes yesterday. So, check T.J. Maxx or Marshalls.

Try swimoutlet.com . I looked yesterday and they have tons and they are much better looking than others I have seen, and all were under $20.

I probably won't be of much help. I bought all of us the $7 watershoes at Walmart. We only plan to use them for a day at each of the waterparks, though, and there are six of us to buy for - expensive ones could add up fast. ODS did choose a fancier pair and bought them with some of his birthday money. I'll be interested to see if they hold up better or if he seems more comfortable than the cheapies we will be sporting. We swim all summer but have never needed water shoes at our pool. The thought of wearing shoes in the water kind of skeeves me out (like wearing shoes in the bathtub LOL) but I'm afraid of someone burning their feet on the concrete or scraping them up as I hear they keep it roughed up for traction...so I caved. Yes, the cheapie ones are UG-LY!

Same thing happened to me with the Land's End water shoes. I get blisters from the cheap water shoes too, so I thought it would be better with the Land's End ones. I would really like to find a pair of water shoes that don't rub because walking on the concrete walkways at water parks is hard on my feet.

We have always bought our water shoes at West Marine. They frequently go on sale for only $14.99 and are really nice. One pair will last us a long time. I think they look good and are very comfortable. They have velcro straps that can be easily adjusted. I have never gotten a blister from them.

Cool! I'm going to have to get them for my daughter and me! Thanks!!!!!
