Hi Everyone,

I'm currently planning an at-home wedding with a hidden Mickey theme. I'm trying to hide them anywhere I can while still being subtle and elegant.

I know I've seen lots of wedding photos on the boards with hidden Mickeys, but I don't think we have a thread going that's totally devoted to them.

So post away and thanks for helping me come up with some creative ideas. I'll be sure to return the favor as I get stuff done for my wedding.

We are getting married at Disney but I'm supplying our own silver plate chargers and around the edges I'm going to glue rhinestones 3 of them in the shape of Mickey heads... Maybe like 8 or 10 per one. Also I am bringing our own votive candle holders and I'm putting a red ribbon with bow around them with the rhinestone Mickeys on them. Also my garder that I ordered on Etsy... Is red and white polka dot (like Minnie) and Has a single rhinestone Mickey head. Just a couple ideas :)

I am trying to incorporate some hidden mickeys in subtle places like my flowers and perhaps my boutonnieres but I haven't had them made yet so I have nothing to show. I will start a planning journal soon though to start showing stuff. I'm currently working on my save the dates since I am doing a cruise wedding I'm giving people plenty of time to reserve a stateroom if they will be coming. But my Save the dates are blatant mickey's soon as I finish them I'll post a picture.

I wish I could wear my hidden mickey necklace but it doesn't go with my dress. But I"ll wear it on the cruise just not for the wedding.

I don't have pictures of them yet, but I have some on the invites. Doing one in the flowers and one on my dress. We just go into the whole hidden mickey thing last WDW trip so quite obsessed at the moment.

Here is the hidden Mickey that was on the back of ribbon-wrapped stems of my bouquet :goodvibes.

I prepared little jars of M&M's for each guest for DS (Michael) and DDIL's (Melissa) wedding and I used a Mickey head hole punch for the hole on the tag that was to be attached by ribon.

A guest noticed and asked DS why there was a Mickey shape hole, of course there was eye rolling and a comment that went something like: 'that could only be my mother'.

It was fun. I don't know how many other people noticed, but, hey, you gotta do what you gotta do.

We had the Disney florist put more Mickey’s in my wife’s bouquet and they put a Mickey on my flower as well. For the guest and wedding party we made silk arrangements at home and bought Mickey rhinestones from Joann fabric or Michaels. W also had Mickey punches on the invitations and anywhere we could us the punch we did.
We also talked to the cake people and had them change the outer decoration of the cake to have hidden Mickey’s all around the cake.
As for the veil my wife put a Mickey rhinestone on her tiara. All the guys in the party had a simple Mickey pins as a tie tack; my father-in-law bought them at the Disney Pin Trader in the hotel we were staying at.
