Show me your Biergarten photos!

If it's anything like the Das Festhaus at Busch Gardens Williamsburg then I'm on board. Obviously it's like comparing apples to ummm steak :) What I mean if it's the same type of restaurant where they have the dancers come out...if that makes sense :)

thanks for all the pics- we are going there in March and we are all very excited to have a fun time and good food!

That looks good and like a fun atomosphere. I am thinking of eating there next trip. Thanks for the pics. Does anyone have any comments on the desserts? Those are the most important part of the meal! Dh will be more than happy with the heart stopping sausage selection, though.

Only the cheesecake now is authentic of the desserts; the rest is not, and much never was. Frankly, the quality is really continuing to go downhill, and often we are finding stale food (and the staff whispers at me in German not to eat it) Items appear to be left out longer on the buffet before being replaced, and many entrees and salads are not on offer ie the selection is reduced. That is my own observation over the last six months or so, combined with feedback from the servers there.

My local German bakery in China is far better than Biergarten these days. I was once someone who recommended it with a strong disclaimer that it was not authentic German food but decent Americanized food 'inspired by' - I can no longer even say that.

Hmm...thanks for your input. I will keep this in mind. I haven't eaten "authentic" German many times, so I don't know if I'd "know" the difference. I was wondering about the desserts because if you've ever eaten desserts at a Chinese buffet, you'll know why. The worst!

anybody know if the band plays during lunch?popcorn::
The band has about 8 sets a day; on our last trip their first set was at 12:45 and it was about every hour after that; and their last set was at 8:15. They open at noon; our ADR was at 12:35 but we got there at 12:15, asked for a table near the stage; and they sat us right up against the dance floor. :teeth: We were there so long we saw them perform twice! DH knows the drummer, Mark Goldberg:

But again, you are probably referring to 'Chinese' food in America, which generally isn't very authentic, just like much of the 'German' food isn't either.

Most of the World Showcase eateries can best be described as 'insprired by' rather than 'authentic'.

China does have some very good sweets, by the way! (the real China)
