Show me what you enjoyed- or found to be good- or found meaningful in 2007- I broke mine down by the month which made me choose a few I did not like as much as some I had to leave out- but it was interesting to look back thru the year like that. So here is my 2007. Looking forward to seeing yours.

Incredible pictures, guys. I hope others aren't intimidated by these stunning shots and are willing to post theirs. Remember, your most meaningful shots don't have to be technically and artistically amazing works of art - they just have to represent things that are important to you. I'd love to see everyone's favorite shots regardless of quality.

I'll post mine next week. It's not just that I don't want mine to be the first mediocre shots in the thread, but I'm on vacation and can't easily sort through my pictures by date where I am.

These are amazing, awesome photos!
I have nothing to compare artistically, but it was very meaningful to me when my Labrador Retriever, Augusta, finished her Grand Champion's title in agility in August and C-ATCH (CPE championship) in April. At age 8, she is nearing the end of her agility career, and to achieve these milestones was HUGE for me as her teammate and handler.

January

One lone cloud lit up like it was on fire on 1/25. The pin point dots in the sky were some of the hundreds of birds that were flying over the lake while this was going on.

February

A Tree Swallow. Taken during the Great American Bird Watch on 2/17.

March

Pink Flamingos taken at the AKL on 3/4.

April Tie

One of the more amazing sunsets at Lake Arianna here in Auburndale. 4/1.

This osprey perched on a telephone pole right outside my front door and then stayed there for nearly 90 minutes. 4/6.

May Tie

I thought this was a tornado but it turned out to be a micro-burst. Still, the effect it had on me was pretty much the same.

On May 14th our sweet Rusty cat went to Rainbow Bridge. This was taken on 5/3.

June

Southeastern Lubber Grasshopper. 6/28.

July

One of the first of many zinnias from my garden. 7/4.

August

Fire Rainbow, a weird and rare event where many things have to be just right. All the ones I've seen have happened in August. 8/11.

September

Taken from my backyard. My first winner on the local Fox news station weather picture contest. 9/14.

Every fisherman's dream. 10/11

November

Fulfilling one of my top 10 things to see in my lifetime, the Fantasy of Flight Hot Air Balloon Festival. Taken Sunday, 10/11. On Saturday some of the balloons came right over my house.

Unbelievable sunset at Lake Arianna and my second prize winner in the Fox weather picture contest. Taken 12/18.

she was NOT happy with me. She was cold and I was making her stand in the front yard "in front of EVERYONE" while I took her picture.
It isn't your typical happy smiling photo - that is for sure - but I like it.

Ok, here are mine. I used the Canon S2IS up until August and the Canon 30D after that. I hope that is why you see not as great photos from August on as it has been a tough learning curve for me and I was really used to the S2IS.

Now there's a blast from the past - I was a huge fan too - all four walls in my bedroom where coverd top to bottom with pictures and posters. I think getting a photo like this would feel like a life-time trophy!! Congrats!!!
