Hi Girls

I have come to a decision that I'm going to wear my 1/2 up and 1/2 down on my wedding day. Keep in mind, this will be with a tiara and veil.

So, show me you 1/2 up 1/2 down do's!!! Please include who did your hair and make-up!

I used Beaute Speciale for my hair and makeup...Ana did my hair and Maribelle did my makeup...

I really loved them, they were fun and laid back, and they know their stuff.

I will be an April DFTW Bride: I love this thread because I plan to wear my hair this way too!

I am worried about HUMIDITY...(cue fearsome music). For those of you that already got married, what were your experiences with this 1/2 up, 1/2 down hairstyle? If you've styled your hair when you're down at Disney World, you know what I mean. How did your hair hold up if you wore it this way? Did your hairstylist do anything special to keep it looking beautiful?

I have long, naturally curly hair (halfway down my back) that can frizz easily. (I was thinking of using some fake hair in the hairstyle, so it won't frizz in case it hits the humidity.)

I have naturally curly hair too...we're getting married in Nov. So, this shouldn't *fingers crossed* be a huge problem...hopefully!

Have no fear.....well ok maybe NO fear is the wrong phrase....but I also have naturally curly hair that is very long and thick....it held up beautifully, I don't know what Ana put in my hair, but it didn't frizz or fall out at all....and it was really windy and pretty humid that day. My hair (and makeup) were still going strong 12 hours after it was done.

Yolanda did our hair and make-up for the WE TV show. She was super sweet and I thought she did a great job!!

On the wedding day I used About Face for hair and make-up. I highly recommend them! My mom and all my bridesmaids also loved them!

Here is my 1/2 up 1/2 down from my hair and makeup trial. We did this the day of our engagement photos with Misty.

And here is my 1/2 up 1/2 down from our wedding day.

I used Ana for my hair and Lily did my makeup. I was very happy with both.

This photo shows that Ana straightened my hair before curling it. Our wedding was in November of 2008 and my hair lasted all day (9:00am ceremony, 10:00 to 3:00 reception and then 8:30 to 9:30 dessert party).
