Most tourists are not carrying a 150 mm lens (300 mm equivalent on micro 4:3). Most tourists are not carrying a real camera at all, I see maybe 99% phones now. A long lens gives a different look, I won't write "perspective" because focal length has no effect on perspective, a pet peeve.
