Show&Go update! (for dog show people)

For all you guys that posted to my Show&go thread,here's a
little "match report"!
My little dobiegirl,Georgie just loves doing these matches so much,that when I take out the backpack with all her "show stuff"
She starts wagging her little stubby tail SO fast ,it looks like a propeller!!
We did pretty good! Even got a complement from the judge on Georgie's transitions! Very nice!!
She did mess up on our first run-thru during a recall. And, its something that I thought I fixed.She bolted towards me when the judge said, " call your dog" . She knew as soon as I started to walk towards her, she made a mistake! So,Georgie starts to
twirl and yip and takes herself back to her sit postion waiting
for me !! It was very funny and we all laughed. We tried again,she did it perfect with a great finish!!
We're off to more matches this weekend!

Very nice indeed. Know how you feel about that 'is she behind me' thing. Took forever for my golden to not follow me when we worked on this in obedience. He would never do well at the show level!!!

My dog would never be show worthy, but I love watching dog shows. Sounds like Georgie did pretty well, all things considered.

For me,its about how my dog will do anything to please me. She
knows what she's suppose to do when we get in the ring,and can't wait to start. I have seen dogs that seem bored to death. When I look at their handlers,they also seem bored to death!!
I'm somewhat lucky because my dog is a real worker,not a stubborn dog who wants to be in charge. So,I guess that's half the battle!
