Looks like there are quite a few of us here on the DIS WISH - I just wanted to say hi! :) We're in Des Moines, WA which is just south of Seattle.

 Coeur d'Alene, Idaho :goodvibes
:wave2:

Coeur d'Alene is gorgeous! I had relatives there and in Post Falls and we'd make the trip over from Oregon City OR (where I grew up) every summer. :)

My DW (disneymom8589) reside in Port Orchard. We both grew up in West Seattle, just a block and a half away. She went to another school though so we did not meet until college days. Her dad was a teacher and taught many of my very close friends and he was very well known and well thought of, so tagging along into that family has been a blessing.

A question for us PNW folks, how often do you get to Disneyland, Walt Disney World, or Disney Cruise Lines? We try to go a couple times a year.

Dave

Hi Dave!

I sure wish that I lived within driving distance of Disney somewhere; we'd love to go twice a year. The flights sure do add to the expense, especially with larger families.

We go as often as we can though - and probably more often than we should with our budget! :rotfl:

Portland here :)

We usually go once a year and most of the time we drive.

Hi! How long does it take you to drive down? If you stay overnight while traveling, where abouts do you stop?

We do it in two days, although I'm sure if you really pushed it you could make it straight down. Fairfield is a good place to stop. Its about 9 hours from portland and 7 hours from disney. It can be a great drive if you just take your time. The redwoods are a fantastic place to stop at and just take in some sightseeing and have some fun.

Have you seen the World of Color yet? I need to plan a new trip to DL. :)

We just saw the World of Color and from a guy who is not a huge fan of evening shows (usually back at the hotel resting) this was outstanding. Can't wait to see it again in August.

Okay, who keeps sending all this wind over here? ;)

We try to go to Disneyland once a year and WDW every other year.

I loved it when Alaska had nonstop flights to LAX from Spokane. I could leave my house at 5 am and be walking through the gates of DL before noon. :goodvibes

Going to WDW is worse -- it's an all day affair. Next week I fly from Spokane to Denver to Kansas City and finally to MCO -- whew! Still worth it to be there! princess:

I love the World of Color! I can hear "the wonderful world of color" playing in my head right now! :rotfl2: We saw it in June and October and heard it several times a night from our balcony at VGC.

I haven't seen it yet! Maybe we can make a trip down in the fall.

I try to get a cruise on DCL once a year and do something Disney every year.

And I saw on another thread that you are braving the crowds at Bloomsday. :goodvibes Are you doing the Coeur d'Alene 5K or Half on Memorial Day week-end? I'm doing the Princess for the first time on Sunday. princess:

This will be my 6th Bloomsday & the first I do without taking my family. I hate the crowds, but love the course.
I am not doing the CDA races. In the past, I've registered for the 5k & half, but have always found some reason to not show up. I'm just too lazy to get out of bed for such close races, I guess. :confused3

Good luck at the Princess! :goodvibes I'd love to do that one someday just for the pretty medal.
