Looking at dec16 - dec 23, I don't know if we should wait to get airfare, or buy now. I think that air fare for the sunday decc 23 will be very high. What do you guys think: dance3: .

We wait for airfare sales and then if we can't get what we want we go to SW. It seems lately we are looking at SW more and more.

We're going down to WDW for April school vacaton and have been watching the fares since last May. Back then the fares started at around $350 p/p r/t, now they're around $450 p/p r/t.
We drove down from New England a couple of years ago and it wasn't that bad a ride. To avod the hasstle of the airport and for the price of the airfare, transfers, parking and car rental it looks like we're driving down again this year.
Good Luck All,
Joe

Thanks for help, but driving is not an option for us, as by husbands drives truck everyday. So this his vacation... flying ;)

We're planning on a drive from Upstate NY for Easter break also...I'm looking at airfare, but so far the price is just more than we're willing to pay. It will probably cost us about $400 to drive (with hotel stop each way). The rental car cost is crazy for this week, so that adds on to the total cost of the airfare. We're considering ME, but we were planning on 1st night and last night in Orlando using my starwood pts at Sheraton Safari ~ with 5 nights at the CR inbetween. So if we fly and use ME, we have to pay for an additional night or 2 at a Disney resort, which even if we go value, it's about $140/night. DH is not sold on driving though....I think it will be fine, we'll see (my sister and I drove w/ 5 kids at Christmas 3 years ago....It wasn't a bad drive, but the kids all had their cousins to keep them occupied) DH has never driven to FL, but as a kid my family used to drive to Florida whenever we went. I keep watching, maybe a last minute fare will pop out that will be too good to pass up.

Either way....Florida ~ WDW ~ IT WILL BE GREAT!

We waited until a few months out last time, hoping that rates would come down once the value airlines released their rates. Nope! They just went up and up. :sad2:

So this time, as soon as the rates were released by the majors, we compared the prices and made our decision. We got a rate that's $50 per person less than we paid last time. That's good enough for us! :thumbsup2

Thanks for all the help, I think we're going to book now that way I won't drive myself crazy looking every day.
