Magical Express or use an independent car service to get us to and from the hotel. We are staying at POP? How long will it take ME to get us to the hotel? And what's an average cost to use a towncar service?:scared1::confused:

Years ago we used happy limo to get us to the hotel, but once ME started we've been using them. I've never stayed at POP, so I can't say how long. But, I'd say use ME instead of a service and use the money for something else.

I would use ME. It only took us about 20 - 25 minutes to get to POP last June. POP was the first stop, then we were dropped of at CBR. Save the money!

A town car ride to and from POP is about $120. I would definitely use ME. It's free, relatively fast, and free ;) POP is also the furthest property out so it's almost always the first stop on ME. Plenty of other things to spend $120 on at the parks (and if you are worried about the 3 hour pick up time thing on your last day...the towncars pick you up just as early)

Definitly use ME...its kind of the introduction to a Disney Vacation.....i love that they pick up ur luggage for u - that saves time..just bring a backpacl w/a bathing suit if u want to hit the pool and or a change of cloths because it takes a few hours to get ur luggage to the room!

We used to use Tiffany Towncar (I think it was around $120 before tips). It did include a stop. We have used ME since they started it and love it!

We used ME and it went very smoothly. We were the last stop (BLT) but it was nice to see all the other locations..... definately save the money for something fun! ;)

We use to use a Tiffany Town Car (which was a good service) until ME came along. we decided that we would save the 120 round trip cost of the Town Car Service and use that money to fund our vacations.

ME is a great service!! I love the no hands on lugguage that is involved!!

Pop is usually the first stop (I think about 25-30 minutes) once you leave the airport.

We use ME now, too. The kids like the character "movie" they show on the way to the resort. I did like the grocery stop with the towncar service, but I just order my groceries through Garden Grocer now which is even easier.

We have used Magic Express  three times now and I wouldn't use anything else  it is so easy and relaxing and starts you off with that great Disney feeling :tinker:

I've been using ME. Glad that Disney added it, makes everything so much easier.

I do think we used Tifany's back in 1999, but that was before ME. If I wasn't staying at WDW then I would use a town car service.

I've stayed at Pop a bunch of times and always use ME. It's always been the first stop. From the time we get in line for ME to the Pop lobby has probably always been less than an hour.

What is the protocol for ME taking you BACk to the airport? We have driven twice and this is our first time flying and using ME. We have a lunch ADR on our last day and I want to be sure enough time is allotted for logistics. Thx

There are two 'sticky' threads on the Transportation board here for Magical Express, but...

The day before you depart, there will be a packet on/under your door with your departure information. It will tell you what time your bus leaves your resort, and that you need to be waiting for the bus with your entire party and any carry-on luggage at least fifteen minutes before this time.

There will also be information on how to prepay for any checked luggage that day (i.e. don't leave it to the last day) if you'll be using the Resort Airline Check-in feature because you're flying home on a participating airlne.

The next day, some time between five and one, no fewer than three but no more than twelve hours prior to your flight, you will go to the RAC counter and check in for your flight. They'll take, weigh, and tag your luggage, and print your ooarding passes. Your luggage willl get sent to the airport and onto the plane so the next time you see it will be at home, and if your time allows, you can go do something until your bus time approaches.

Note that if you miss your assigned bus (a) Disney isn't obligated to get you to the airport; (b) since buses are scheduled based on need, if nobody at your resort has a flight leaving withn two hours of yours, no bus will come along; and (c) just because a bus comes a half hour later does NOT mean it will have room for you.

No you may have to wait till the bus fill up a bit but NO just sit back and enjoy the ride. It takes longer than few min to get there.

We haven't used a towncar since ME was introduced. Remember, you don't have to go to baggage claim at all when you use ME so you save lots of time that way. Boarding ME can kind of feel like waiting in line for Space Mountain, with all the roped off line areas, but we've never had to wait for long and it always seems like a good trade-off for saving the towncar money.

ME all the way. Its a very clean and nice service. Wife and I didnt have to wait more than 5-10 minutes. And on top of that we didnt need to deal with luggage or anything, so all of that time was saved. They even have a little movie on the bus about things happening at disney.
