Should we switch our HS day? Is it less busy on weekdays or is it packed regardless?

We fly out tomorrow & 1st day in the park is Sunday. At the time we booked, I could only get HS on Sunday the 17th. With the release of more availability, it is showing availability every day except the 17th. Should I switch my days? Would it be less crowded on a weekday or is it a park that's crowded regardless? I also wonder is it not available on the day we're currently scheduled because possibly Disney isn't increasing availability until after the weekend?

That’s a hard call. Originally everyday had the same number as it was filling each day. Personally I might be tempted to keep Sunday as not sure the new capacity will fill.

Hard to tell. I’d check the calendar to see if any dates appear to be refilling faster than others?

It’s been filling every day. I don’t see how it could be more crowded on the weekends than on the weekdays. I have heard some people say it feels more crowded on the weekends, but I’m assuming it’s the same on every day have HS booked for a Saturday.

HS is probably one park where weekday vs. weekend doesn't matter - it pretty much books to capacity regardless of the day, so you're almost better using a weekend day on it vs. another park that will have lower crowds during the week. I will also say - if you stick it out throughout the day or take a mid-day break outside the park, wait times and crowds drop off significantly after about 4pm, in my experience.

That makes lots of sense. I hadn't thought of the other parks.

My thoughts too! That’s why I booked it for Saturday. Definitely taking a break too!

I know they recently increased capacity but was there a few weeks ago, arrived on a Sunday (April 18), got to HS around 3, crowds weren’t bad at all. We did everything and left around closing time. Went again on Thursday (April 22), it seemed more crowded at times but towards closing lines were down a lot more. Only waited 20 minutes for SDD and hopped in the TOT line on our way out, line said 45 minutes but was closer to 35. Went back on Saturday the 24th and crowds were about the same but seemed busier the later we were there. All in all I don’t think it matters.
