Should we start or end with Disney

On our October trip we will be going to Disney, Universal Studios & IOA, and also Sea World. So should we start with Disney(the kids are most excited to go back to Disney and it will be hard for them to wait) or end(Making it our "grand finale" of our trip).Opinions please

OOOH, I say end with Disney. There is no way I would want to hear the whining of "why couldn't we stay at disney..." "...Disney was more fun" "...can we go back to Disney..."

Okay, so I would be doing the whining, but there is no way DH would want to hear the whining of "why couldn't we stay at disney..."

I agree with saving WDW for the end. When I was 11, myself, parents, aunt and uncle and three cousins (ages 12, 6, 3) went to WDW. Part-way through our stay at WDW we took a side trip to Sea World. Although we (as kids--and even some of the adults) liked Sea World we couldn't wait to get back to WDW. I remember telling my mother that I would have rather spent that time in the parks or swimming at the villas.

So, if your kids are looking forward to Disney the most, I'd definitely end there instead of begin there. They will most likely enjoy the other venues more without comparing it to Disney the whole time and--as a previous poster stated--nagging you about why they had to leave WDW.

If you are staying onsite at Universal I would say end with Universal and FOTL.

I agree 100%. If you are planning to stay onsite at Universal, you will want to start with Disney and look forward to FOTL. If you start at Universal and go to the front of the line, you will really hate standing in line at WDW. If you aren't staying onsite at Universal, then I would end with Disney.

Last year we ended with Disney and I am glad we did. However, we are leaving next Friday the 24th and we originally were going to Universal the 24th and 25th and then going to Disney until July 3rd. Then we found out that they were extending Star Wars Weekends until June 26th. So now we are going to Disney June 24 until July 1 and then to Universal July 2-3. I am now thinking that will work out better because we are staying at Hard Rock Hotel and using the front of the line access during the busy holiday weekend.

I guess it depends on if you want to end with the magic of Disney or the convenience of Universal (if you are staying at one of their hotels).

We did Universal first then two days of Disney, then Sea World, then 5 more days of Disney. We stayed at a Universal resort for one night and FOTL was great. But we used TGM, the UG, and the DIS for planning our Disney days and didn't wait in any long lines there either, so it didn't matter if we were "spoiled" by FOTL. I think all of us enjoyed Disney more than Universal, so I liked being at WDW for our last days.

In that case, I'd suggest doing Universal and Sea World first or in the middle as a "break" from Disney. Assuming you want a break, that is. Some people really want to be immersed in Disney, but then again, those are probably the people who would refuse to stay off-site and would probably not go to Universal.

Normally, I would say end with Disney. But you have a 3 yr. old and a 1 year old who might be tired if you go to Disney last----it would frustrate me if they slept 3 or 4 hours for a day and missed out on the most Magical Place on Earth.

Let 'em sleep in Universal or with Shamu...those tickets are cheaper anyway!
