Well I am i two minds as to whether we should renew our annual passes when they expire in december, the renewal cost is $399.38 including tax, so roughly £222.00. (where as the 14 day passes are £178 next year)

So heres the pros and cons so can you help me decide

annual pass pros,
can buy dde card for meals (we eat at the sit downs alot)
discounts on mnsshp
merchandise discounts

which all in all add up to quite alot

annual pass cons, its more expensive by about £40 than the 14 day pass, and doesnt include water parks (thoughwe dont usethem)

14 day pass pros
water parks
disney quest
costs a bit less

Now I am more towards the annual pass as the discounts added up to alot for us last year, as most of you know I am a mad shopper, plus we will be going to mnsshp twice.

Also if I do renew them is it best to do it in november over the phone, as our passes run outdecember 4th 2006

any help appreciated

anna

Why not buy 1 AP for the discounts and then 14 day passes because they are cheaper ?

Anna I would renew the AP, the discounts are great with the AP - we have decided to buy them this year rather than the 14 day ticket. Do you get a discount when you renew?

Do you not get free parking? Or is that with the premium AP? That would pay for the £40 difference in about 6 days...

We're thinking of getting an AP this November... just got to work out when we can go in 2007 :)

According to your tickers, your planned trips are 2 and 5 months away (so you are covered within your existing APs for those). Following your December renewal date, when are your next planned trips? We have never renewed at the expiry date of our APs; we just purchase new ones to fit in with our planned trips.

we are going september 2006 and october 2007

they discounts are great for us, I do alot of shopping in disney and the discounts really knock down the prices, also yes you do get parking.

also we will be buying 2sets of mnsshp next year so we will save on those too, and then the dde card you can buy as we eat sit downs alot

hey I just decided I will be renewing them!!!

Can I do this at the parks in september? and this years pass ends in december would the enw one start when that ends or would it be september

My 14 day ticket cost £158 this year, theres usually a bargain around at some time, thats another £40 for 2 you can save over the cost of an AP. and I love the water parks so its good value for us.
I'd do as Jockey suggests, just get the one AP and 1 14 day ticket

we dont use the water parks at all

we are going to get 2 annual pass renewals, we have worked out the savings and they far out weigh the 14 day pass, and we may also sneak in an extra trip as well.

thanx for all the advice
