Should we not go Jersey Week?

DH & I are planning our first trip without the kids Sat. 11/4 to Wed. 11/8. We are staying at POR and requested the mansions. This is the beginning of Jersey Week. Should we not go this week? We really want to enjoy being without the kids and are worried it will be too crowded to enjoy anything. I don't mind 20 minute waits but more than that seems like a waste of money. DH is ready to just cancel the trip but I'm holding out hope.

Well, I wouldn't want to discourage you from going but my wife and I unwittingly went to DW during that week 5 years ago and it was crowded to our surprise. We later found out that the Jersey schools were closed while we waited at least an hour for Buzz Lightyear. It was tolerable but definitely noticeable. I would bet that lines will be at least 20 mins. or more for the popular attractions. We just made ressies for the Swan the first week of December and now we see it's Pop Warner week! From what I hear, that's not too big a deal. Bottom line is, no matter when you plan to go, something's bound to be going on. Oh, the Shriner's are in town? Great! What's that? it's a teachers convention? I can't get a break!!
