Should we have them make 'note' of it being our honeymoon?

I see all these lovely pictures people have posted from WDW restaurants where the dessert has spelled out "Happy Honeymoon" or where a person has gotten a small token from a place because of it being their honeymoon. Is there a way for the WDW-DINE reservation line to make a note to restaurants that you are going to be there on your honeymoon to have those kind of cute little gestures or how does that work? I'm just curious because it seems like a great experience to have those sweet little things and since this is also my first Disney trip I want it to be extra special.

Thanks a lot ladies!

Haven't had my honeymoon yet, but hopefully I can help. I know Disney Dining can make notes about honeymoons, birthdays anniverseries etc but I would also make sure to tell the hostess/waiter when you arrive, just so they remember:) Can never hurt to let them know, "extras" just make the trip all that more special!:goodvibes Good Luck!

We had our travel agent with DU have disney makes notes on EVERYTHING, reservation, adrs, everything that it is our wedding/honeymoon.

I agree, I booked all my ADR's myself for the whole 3 weeks and last weekend I called up to make sure it was noted on every ADR. It was quite funny he noted 'Bride to Be on the ones prior to us getting married, 'eve of wedding' the night prior to the wedding, 'wedding day' and 'just married' It was great.
As for saying it to the CM, do you just tell them, Imean I would be embarrassed to say, out of the blue, 'it's our hoenymoon' so how do you do it?

Awesome. Thanks guys, when he calls to make another dinner reservation I'll be sure to tell him to add a note - and see if he'll call to make sure the resort makes one as well. :D

Make sure he goes back and adds it to all of your recent reservations aswell, they have to be on individually.

Hi I think I can help with this. When FI and I got engaged, we went to a nice hotel In Niagara Falls that night. When we got there and check in people always say something along the lines of " How are you folks doing tonite?". Me grinning like an idiot said " AMAZING!!! we just go engaged!". Thats always an optin when your being seated or meeting your server they always ask hows your doing etc.. just throw in how happy you are. Dont forget the pins and wedding ears kinda give it away too if you dont want to say anything. HTH.

We made note on all of our ADRs and wore the ears as well, but only got the dessert/attention from some of the restaurants we ate at. I just caution anyone from assuming that they'll automatically get pixie dust on their honeymoon because it really is up to the CM's moods, how busy the park is, how many other people are celebrating, etc. etc.

After having read all the fabulous things many people get on their honeymoon, I was a bit let down when we didn't receive very much attention at all and it ruined the first day of the honeymoon for me (well, that and heat stroke; lol!).

The next day I watched my husband and realized he was having a great time because he wasn't expecting anything and was just enjoying Disney. I adopted that tact and was able to have a great time the rest of our honeymoon!

HTH!

When I called to do my ADR's for our honeymoon this December I made sure to have them put that it was our honeymoon on our reservations. Actually, the first time I called I just told the lady we were going to be there for our honeymoon, and when she asked when our last trip was, I told her it was last September when we got engaged at Epcot and she insisted I had to tell her all about how he proposed! It was so cute. And when I asked her to mark that we would be on our honeymoon, she said she already did. When I called to book our Candlelight Processional package, I got a guy and asked him as well. We're totally not going to go there expecting to get anything extra though, so we won't be disappointed, but we still wanted it noted.

I had it noted that we had just gotten married at every restaurant we ate it. We only wore the pins and got A LOT of special treats :goodvibes (free appetizers, champagne, dessert, special menus, etc.) Definitely make a note of it, but don't always expect something to happen. Good luck :thumbsup2

We had it noted and got some free desserts. We actually had more fun wearing the wedding ears and having people ask about our Disney wedding. One lady mentioned that she actually saw our ceremony taking place earlier in the week.

yes i agree w/ the other posters...definitely mention the occassion when you book reservations, or even if you show up somewhere without a reservation, mention it to someone there. right before we got engaged, we ate at narcoossee's and it was DF's birthday. I mentioned it to the waitress and she brought him dessert and gave us two menus that said "Happy Birthday Jeremy!" at the top. So I guess they have printers right there in the restaurant for stuff like that! Have fun :goodvibes
