We are going to be in Tampa for a family gathering the weekend of Oct 21. Our daughter is 10. We are debating going to Orlando on Sunday. We would have all day Monday and be able to do MNSSHP that night. We would then leave on Tuesday. Do you think this is to hectic? We could just stay at the resort in Tampa or do Busch Gardens in Tampa. We have been to DW numerous times before so we know our way around fairly well.

Thanks for your input.

Sure it's doable. If you are going to get to Orlando on Sunday and then have the entire day and night on Monday at MK then go for it. Will you be flying out of Tampa on Tuesday? Be sure to leave plenty of time to get from WDW to Tampa. We are thinking of visiting my ds in Tampa in Jan for a long weekend and my dd is already asking if we can make a side trip to WDW. That won't happen since she will have been in Oct..same time frame you're talking about.

Personally, As much as I love Disney...I just would not have the energy.. You say you have been to Disney World many times....I'd just stay there and go to Busch Gardens.. Less stress all the way around... princess:

Thanks for the input. Please keep those responses coming. I am still on the fence.

We can fly into Tampa and out of Orlando. Or fly in and out of Tampa. Southwest is great!!!

I say go for it, Life it too short, ENJOY IT!!! We would have a hard time going to the Tampa area and NOT visiting Disney. Have a GREAT time, I am sure you will enjoy MNSSHP!

personally, if it were my family and we were this close and there was a Halloween Party going on, heck yeah! The party is great, gives you a totally different look at the parks . Here's a few pictures from the parade in '04

It really boils down to how much your family loves WDW. If it were me, I would go. Even if it was just to stand outside of the MK, and gaze in. :)

I would definitely go to WDW!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: It's really not that far. When we were at WDW in July, my DSis and her family went to Tampa one night to watch a baseball game and came back that same night!

If you're not too tired from the other trip, by all means.. go for it!!

If you want to hear no, you're asking in the wrong place. LOL I would go if I were that close for sure! :thumbsup2

Thanks. It seems most of you would go for it. Here is some addditional information. We have been to MNSSHP. I loved it. My DH dislikes theme parks in general and DW in specific. He would find an alternative form of entertainment so that would not be a problem except that he would be undermotivated to leave the beach in the first place. DD likes thrill rides and shows. In the last few years we have been going to DL as it is closer to us. We have a long weekend in Nov planned for DL, my DD can bring a friend where she would not be able to bring one to DW because it is when school is in session. DD is almost 11

Thanks for the input and wonderful pictures
