Should we go to California Adventure?

We are planning on visiting California Adventure for one day in a few weeks. However I have read a lot of negative (or at least not positive comments) about California Adventure.

Should we go there or spend the day at Disneyland?

CAlifornia Adventure has some great rides, but nothing beats the original Disneyland! (ok, i might eat these words after we visit WDW!) In any case, I think you can buy hoppers now for DL and DCA, they are a stone's throw from one another.

I didn't expect to like California Adventure, but I went with friends and really enjoyed it, Soarin' and the Grizzly especially. From a distance it looked too "carny" and cheap to me, but I was very pleasantly surprised. If I could go to only one park I would probably still pick Disneyland, but I would give up one day of Disneyland to do California Adventure.

Yes, spend time at Calif. Adv. We enjoyed that park just as much as Disneyland.

Disneyland first, then if you have time CA Adventure is worth visiting...Have fun!!!!

I really liked CA. Love DL!! But we had alot of fun at CA. Soarin' is so so worth it!

After many years of MK and WDW, we LOVED CA - it was visually so appealing and the Grizzly Run playarea was a HUGE hit with my 8 yr old DD. Hope you enjoy it.

I totally agree with safetymom. We went to DL all the time, and once it opened up I heard negative things about it. We went and LOVED it!

I LOVED California Adventure! definitely spend some time there. California Screamin' is excellent (provided it's working, when i went a few months after it first opened it had some problems but we got to ride it about 2 or 3 times). The Grizzly Rapids were excellent (way better than the ones at AK) and Soarin' is awesome. I honestly liked it better than Disneyland since it was something new and different.
