Is that Fantasmic in Cal or Florida? Is that worth seeing? I don't want to have to stand the whole time in the audience. Is there any good sit down theatres with great shows?
Fantasmic is in both places, but most agree that the DL version is the better show. You don't stand during the show unless you're in the back, but you do sit on the ground (it's ok to use towels, blankets or tarps so you don't sit directly on the ground). It's an incredible show--definetely worth seeing--people camp out hours beforehand. In DCA there's the Hyperion Theater--a nice indoor theater. Currently Alladin is playing there, but it's closing sometime in December I believe. It's a 45 minute (can go a bit longer) show and it's great.
So it's not even in a theatre? We camp out and wait for hours? How could that be fun with a 5 yr old and about a million other little screaming brats running around. No thanks.
Is there any thing more organized where you purchase a ticket, go to show, sit in a designated SEAT?
There's the Fantasmic dessert buffet, but that's $56 per person ($46 for kids if you go with the premium veiwing as opposed to the balcony). Personally, I prefer just hanging out and waiting (and most kids are not running around and screaming--they're much better behaved than that).
ALL entertainment in DL/DCA is included with the price of admission.
Good Heavens. I wouldn't assume that the kids are a bunch of "screaming brats". I have to say as a mother of 4, we have had our bad moments in public but I would be offended for someone to call my kids that. Everyone has bad moments, even kids. We have never had problems at WDW or DL with too many disruptive kids at the shows, there's an occasional fussy toddler or baby, but no more than we've encountered at restaurants and movie theatres.

I have to agree. In general both at the Parks and on our Disney cruise the children I have seen are all pretty well behaved and well supervised by their parents. I think the "little screaming brats" comment is a bit over the top. I know I was offended when I read it.

Balcony seating is expensive and not nearly as intimate. But you can pay for it (but there's no guarentee there won't be any "screaming brats" up there.
