We are off site and I know we will have RFID tickets that we can use for admission.
I wonder though, if there any benefit to our family purchasing magic bands? My kids got excited when they saw them on TV and I originally explained they weren't available for us being Off site.

Hope its ok, I am jumping in with this group. I have a 5 and 8 year old.) It will be over 2 years between our trips to WDW (did a DCL vacation last year.)

They're useful for park entrance and FP redemption, because you don't have to go digging for your park ticket. Plus you can customize the snot out of them (there's a huge thread on here about that), and they're a fairly cheap souvenir. There's also a group on FB (can't remember the name of them, I'm sure someone can chime in with it) that sells vinyl stickers with various movie/character themes that cover the whole band.

We won't be purchasing them. (We'll be staying at the Dolphin). I can't get my youngest (5) to wear anything around his wrist anyway. And my middle child (8) has slender hands so I worry about it falling off of her wrist. I can't stand wearing watches or bracelets on my wrist. So, I'm out too. That leaves hubby and the eldest who don't really care about the bands. It's easier for us to hold the tickets than all the bands of the people who won't wear them.

thanks. Not sure its worth it for our family. It would be easy for FP but not a problem to use our park tix. We wouldn't customize them anyway but I know my boys thought they looked cool (anything they can scan or electronic and lighted mickey head is cool.)

The boys can scan their park tickets to light up the Mickey Head. The bands may be convenient because you don't have to dig in your bag to pull out your tickets every time you do FP+ or enter a park. But really, how many times are you going to do that in the course of a day? 4-5 times, maybe? I can think of better ways to spend $13/person.

Oh Great thank you so much! I thought that was just MB thing. Silly I know but they think it looks fun.
I'll save the cost, there are way better souvenirs to get then MB! I don't mind using my tix, no different then the last several trips.
