We are planning a 2011 Food and Wine trip. It will be our first for this time of the year. We usually get the basic dining plan. It is more food than I care to have in one day. Now we are counter plan with two treats or no plan, but just buy the samples at epcot stands.
If we do not get the dining plan, about how many samples would be equivilent to a counter service entree or a table service entree.

Hard to answer the should we go dining plan question as does differ hugely per individual. Just bare in mind though that at last year's F&W festival all festival offerings were 1 snack credit irrespective of price (the cheese was the same credit cost for one taste selection or 3).

No counter service or table service credits could be used at any of the F&W stalls.

I could usually eat 4 or 5 kiosk foods before I'd start to feel stuffed. That could average around $20-30 given the items at the kiosk can range anywhere from 4-6 bucks on average.

The kiosks only accept the snack credits for food items and non-alcoholic drinks. If you find you don't use your snack credits much, you might actually want to use them all at the festival as a meal substitute.

Or you can share the kiosk foods and try more items that way. It's a great way to taste and stretch out the snack credits.

the two new restaurants will be open by the time the food and wine fest starts.. that's a new authentic italian pizzaria and the new Cantina Mexican restaurant.. i'm hoping for an ADR there and that would be 1 TS.

If you're a real light eater, i would suggest the qs dining plan, and yes use the snack credits at the festival. I love the pierogie and keilbasa.. it's just one pierogie, two small slices of keilbasa and a tiny bit of sour cream and saurkraut.. i ate it on the way to our TS, lol.. it's not much to eat. Also, it was $5, or one snack credit. You really get your $ worth w/ the snack credits.. otherwise you can spend a lot of money trying to fill up.
