Should we change our Palos reservations(Pirate Night)?

if possible i would- you don't want to miss out on all the pirate fun & fireworks pirate:

Which seating do you have, what time is Palo? Is it possible you could do both? We did not want to miss our regular early seating on our Palo night, so we went to that, had a light appetizer, then went to Palo. We were stuffed, but enjoyed every minute of it.

We have an early dinner reservation. We had to coordinate it with Flounder's Reef hours for our 1 year old son and want the evening to ourselves. :lovestruc I guess I am going to put in a call to change our plans!

Pirate nite dinner is the BEST Nite! Don't miss it or you will be sorry!

Willie

I would change it because I loved Pirates night.

We are specifically targeting Pirate Night as our Palo's night next month on the 4/2 Magic Eastern. We've experienced Pirate night on the Wonder in January, and the menu didn't knock our socks off. For us, the Pirate theme at dinner replaced the waiters reversing their vests to come out in color, and we missed that because it is just a clever thought, even if our DS did figure out th vest trick at age 6. We're planning on having a 7 pm or so Palo ressie, so we'll be finished w/ dinner before the deck party starts at 9:45. Will either have DS eat dinner from Pluto's, or perhaps with the Lab (he has never had a meal w/ the Club or Lab) or maybe we'll do a quick double-dip, take him to the early dinner seating for which we are registered. In fact, perhaps the desire others have for Pirate night might make our desired reservation more available. pirate:

Just our opinion, food-wise, that we would not mind missing the pirate menu compared to other menus during the 7 night cruise, and we will not miss any of the rotation dining menus because Pirate night is the 4th night. I believe there is not a production stage show that night, so we would not miss that, either. pirate:

Other opinions differ--in fact, apparently a majority if I had to guess. I guess I just don't get worked up over the Pirate theme because of the last time I was at WDW, had not been there in 25 years at the time, and while doing the Pirate ride there, I noticed that the pillage, plunder, raping, murdering, etc. just didn't seem terribly charming. But to each his own, and I do wish a fun time at dinner to all that night--see you on deck for the fireworks. pirate:

Personally speaking, I'd NEVER pass up a chance to go to Palo.

I'd go to Palo EVERY night if I could....

Just MHO....

6pm early dinner - Have appetizers or something very light.
7:00 ish drop off the kids to the club ( I think there is a PJ party)
8:00 Palos for the real dinner
9:15 pick up the kids for the deck party

it could work

:wizard: I know other people have said this but i think pirate night was one of the best nights. Seeing the waiters dressed up, getting your picture taken with a ghetto captain hook, and wearing ppirate bandanas-it was an unforgetabel evening. Even the menus are fun, rolled up and tied like a treasure map. The party afterwards was also fun, but quit possible the noisiest night of the trip. pirate:

I have the REAS I just got off the phone with Debbie and I changed my Palo time. We did not want to miss pirate night, Palo at 6 and then go to dinning room at 8:30. She said she could'nt tell me when pirate night was, it was subject to change. This way I'll be sure not to miss it! :cool1:

We are taking a 4 night Wonder cruise June 5th. We have Palo scheduled with our REAS for Monday(nassau night). I have heard this is Pirate night. We have main seating so will take the boys to dinner in the DR then off to the club for DS 8 and the teen junkaroo jam for DS 16. Our Palo ressies are for 8. So I am hoping we will have plenty of time for family, us at Palo and the deck party, even though we will be stuffed, I don't want the boys to miss Pirate night.

Perhaps we're the only ones, but we weren't impressed with Pirate's Night. Wasn't happy with the menu or deck party. The only thing we enjoyed were the fireworks.

But that's just us. We'd try for Palo on Pirate Night next time.

We haven't been to Palo yet, but we're planning on going on one of our two November cruises. We're planning on doing it on Pirate Night. The theme of pirates doesn't appeal to us that much, and we really don't like a lot of uproar during meals. We probably will try to get to the deck party, though!

Of course, with back-to-back cruises, we'll have the opportunity to attend pirate night one night if we decide we want to!

I thought you couldn't make Palo reservations untill you were on board. Has this changed? Does anyone know when Pirate night is on the four day cruise? Going April 10th, only 22 more days. pirate:

If you have the REAS package or are booked concierge, you can make Palo and Flounders reservations prior to embarkation.

Just found out that pirate night as of now is on the third night of the 4 day Wonder(Castaway Cay night). This of course is subject to change. Our Palo reservation is for the second night so if the schedule remains the same we will get to experience Pirate Night.

Thank you all for your opinions!! Since this is our first cruise we are hoping to get to experience as much as possible!
