Should this first timer avoid evening EMH's?

Hi there!

We will be at WDW in October, arriving on the 14th from the California, and departing on the 21st. We have decided not to park hop as it's our first trip and the parks close early-ish. We are not commandos at DL, and don't want to be for WDW--we know we can't see it all :) we have a 3yo and a 5 yo.
There are 4 MNSSHP scheduled for this week, one eve EMH and one evening the park closes at 9pm (the day we have to meet up friends in Clearwater,so it's not an option). On Thursday or Friday (no tickets yet) we will go to MK and MNSSHP, but we'd like another MK day.

Currently we have MK plans for our first day, Sunday. It's the evening EMH day and I'm wondering if you think it would be a huge mistake to tour MK on the only EMH night of the week.

The EMH this night is so attractive to us because we're flying in from CA the night before and having longer hours means we can take it somewhat easy that first morning, arriving at the park about 12noon (or even later), making my DH very happy, lol.

Also, Monday we have planned as our MGM day as it's an evening EMH. How is MGM on EMH nights?

If these EMH days are a bad idea we can swap the parks--going to MGM on Sunday (but only having about 7 hours here) and MK on Monday having to leave by 7pm, but I don't know if this is really any better.

Any advise or thoughts about this is greatly appreciated! :goodvibes

I always go to AM EMH (virtually every day of the trip that we did not do a PM EMH late the night before)... never ONCE regretted an AM EMH... they are amazingly empty and easy to ride the open attractions.
If that park THEN starts to fill 2 to 3 hours later... WHO CARE'S?
Were happy with "doing" that park for the day and we can HOP elsewhere or do lunch and take a rest until later.

PM EMH's are a mixed bag. I've been when they were PACKED... but on other nights, they were just like the AM's... "free rides" on all the open attractions.

Those who say they attended PM EMH and say that "they are TOO CROWDED" are right... but ONLY for the nights they may have attended.
I can say, from personal experience, that they CAN be EMPTY, FULL or in-between.

So you simply don't KNOW unless you go.

And considering its FREE to go... if its busy, just people-watch or hit the exit (where ELSE are ya gonna go at 10pm, anyway?)
But if its not busy... you're ALL SET for EXTRA FUN!

I would agree with Robo, except that everytime I've gone, they've been empty. But like he said, you never know. Its all just chance. Im definitely using them!

Thanks Robo and DJ :)

I think we'll stick with the plan we have since no one has jumed in to tell me they think I'm crazy for going to the EMHs, lol.
