We are going to the Cinderella Breakfast on our upcoming trip in May and I was wondering if I should have my three girls wear their princess costumes.

My mother made very elaborate costumes (Cinderella, Aurora and Belle) for my 7 year old triplets for Halloween last year and I was wondering what everyone's opinion was on wearing them to the character breakfast.

Lots of kids wear their costumes to the character meals. Feel free to as long as they are comfortable. Enjoy.

Definetly have them wear them! There are so many little ones with their outfits, it looks so cute.
Now if I could only convince my 13 DD to wear one!

Do they like extra attention? Do they like being called "Princess"? Do they like everyone smiling at them when they see how "cute" they are?

Then wear them, and enjoy!! DD didnt wear hers, didnt pack it, but once she was there, and saw others, she wished she had hers!! (she's 8) esp for the Breakfast! (and the parades!! - the Princesses notice the girls in their Princess Gowns, blow kisses etc!)

I would! Just think of the great photos you'll get! Priceless. Depending on where you are eating, you may want to bring a change of clothes. You can keep it in a locker if you are planning on spending the entire day at the park. Have a great time with all your little princesses. :sunny:

Yes, bring them with you even if they don't want to wear them all day. Like previous poster, once they get there and see all the others' wearing them, they'll want to put them on. Did princess brkfst last month and just about every girl there had theirs' on.

Definitely bring them. The first year we didn't (I really didn't think little girls would wear the costumes in August heat) and I regretted it so much. I ended buying them a new one each because we were surrounded by little girls in their costumes and I had told my dd, "nobody will really be wearing their costumes". I learned my lesson- we now travel with all the Disney costumes.

YES, Definately!!!!! My dd wore her Cinderella costume to CRT last trip and Cinderella even signed her autograph book "To my twin, Sydney". The pictures of the 2 of them together with dd in her costume are priceless. So many little girls wear them. We brought shorts and a t-shirt for after breakfast.

This year she wants to bring her Mulan costume (from halloween 2003). I thought Mulan might get a kick out of that since you mostly see the more popular princess costumes on the little girls.

Definately pack the costumes!!

Not just to the breakfast, but in the park too! My son loved wearing his Woody costume when we went last time. This time my lil girl will be wearing her snow white dress to MK(she looks just like snow white) with sneakers for comfortable walking, and son will be wearing his woody to MGM.

As long as your girls will be comfortable, go for it!! The pictures will be priceless. See if they want to take along a change of clothes, just in case. I know costumes can get uncomfortable.

On our last trip my DD 4 got upset because she was about the only little girl at CRT that didn't have a princess dress on. We are doing the Princess storybook at Norway in May and I had to promise her she could wear one then. Our deal is she can wear it from our hotel room on the bus and to breakfast and then she has to change. ( We'll rent a locker). She is going as Jasmine and my DS 4 (her twin) is going as Aladdin.
LLagow :moped:

another YES! vote. I have the BEST picture of dd4 (then 2) with cinderella in her princess dress. It makes me get all teary just thinking of the look on her face as she hugged her.. then in the afternoon parade prince charming PICKED HER UP and kissed her on the cheek. The picture i took was our xmas card that year.. SOOOO SWEET.

it was a cool day, so she wore clothes underneath her dress. and when the "fluffy" got overwhelming it wasnt an issue to strip off the dress... and then put it back on for the parade

My DD2 wore her Princess Aurora dress to CRT last month. All the CM's called her princess and she got lots of extra attention. I would definitely pack the dresses. If they don't want to wear it don't make them, but I'm sure once the see all the other girls they will want to. My DD wore hers most of the day, until she got fussy and was ready for her afternoon nap. Then I just pulled shorts on underneath it and pulled the dress off because she had worn a t-shirt underneath. We actually had to hide the dress when unpacking at the hotel because she would have worn it all day, every day if I didn't. Have a great time!!

I vote for wearing the dress. How could you resist a picture like this?......

Lots of the girls do. They look so adorable.

Absolutely!!! Mine did. We just put them in our backpack afterwards. You could also rent a locker if you don't want to tote them around!! It's part of the fun!

My DD wore her Aurora costume to her birthday breakfast at CRT, and we have a great picture of the 2 "princesses" together. I brought clothes for her to change into after breakfast so that she would be comfortable in the park, and stored the dress in a locker. Go for it - it will be fun for the girls and a great photo op for you! princess:

DARN! This confirms what I was worried about. We have CRT booked next month. We haven't done this in a couple years. I have a 4 and 7 year old. We do still have a Mulan costume that looks brand new, but the others they have played in and look more like rags than princess gowns! I don't think my oldest would be too upset, but my 4 year old I could see eyeing the other little girls with their costumes on. This must be a recent trend cause I don't really remember this from past meals, but last few trips we saw plenty of girls dressed up in the morn on the way to breakfast.

Is Mulan at CRT, too? Or only at Norway? Our ressie is the first morning. I'm wondering if the night before when we arrive if I should drive over to DTD and surprise them with new costumes? Think about $50 a pop? (Turning out to be one darn expensive breakfast! :teeth: )

Is Alice still at CRT? I think my oldest would love an Alice costume... I hate to buy another Cinderella costume.

What characters have been there recently? Anyone know?
