Should I use DCL transportation or our own? How much on our own?

Hi all,

Been reading the board a lot lately and I love all the information. However, I noticed some people use their own transportation to get to and from the Cruise. What do you recommend? Should we rent a car? We'll be staying at the Poly? Currently, I ordered Happy Limo to pick us up at the airport and take us to the hotel for $60 with a grocery stop which is very critical for us. Then, the cruise will be picking us up at the Poly and taking us to the boat for $138 and taking us back to the airport. Do you think we could rent a car for cheaper? We really need another grocery stop on the way to the boat to buy baby supplies like water and snack foods. If we rent a car, what rental agency do you recommend? Can we cancel the transportation part on the cruise line after we already paid for it?

Thanks in Advance,

Tina

We rented an Avis car, go to their website and put in code USA. We paid $37 for a Buick Century for one day. We returned it at the Radisson and took the shuttle to the port and we took Disney transportation back to the airport. I have to say the busses are quite comfortable. I took the Disney bus to the airport and had an early flight, so I was afraid a limo or car would be late, and I knew their would be tons of Disney busses.

Thanks Mjasp for the quick response.

Another question? Does anyone know if there is a car rental agency at the Poly?

Tina
