Should I upgrade?

We are booked for BWI at the end of June. The other night DW mentioned she would like Water View perhaps. I am taking this as a "wifely" perhaps so my questions are this:

1. Are all club level rooms water view?
2. Is the Deluxe room worth the extra $200 per night over a standard view?
3. Is club level itself worth the extra at BWI?

1. Not all CL rooms at BWI are water view, but there is no difference in price between those that are and aren't. It's request only.

2. If you want the extra space, deluxe rooms are worth the price. Otherwise they probably aren't.

3. At BWI, CL is actually worth the upgrade. Typically its only $50-$100 more per night than a water view room. For that price I think CL is definitely worth it. The only downside is that you can't guarantee a waterview room, because on the CL its request only. Given that most people who go to Disney aren't as proactive about their trips as those on DIS, you probably will have your request for a waterview met unless you are going at a crazy busy time or something.

If you are booking a regular standard view in Club level you either get a boardwalk view or view of garden facing Epcot. If you want view of boardwalk (water) ask for an odd number room if you want a garden room ask for a even number room

I would probably specify water view in your request instead of odd numbered room so the room assigner knows that is the important thing for you

We loved the Garden View CL rooms. I loved being able to go out on my balcony and see the Eiffel Tower! And the high Illuminations fireworks!
we loved going to the lounge to get our desserts and cordials and watch the fireworks from our room. Also the GV is so pretty - a view of the garden cottages and their pretty gardens. So serene. BW view is not so serene IMHO! But everyone has different wants/needs. I'm sure I'd love the BW view too - I'd just love to be back at the BW with your countdown instead of mine (149 days!)

If you booked a Standard Room, your room will be a view of anything BUT Crescent Lake/water.

If you booked a Water View Room, your room will be located on(top) of the Boardwalk, overlooking Crescent Lake.

If you booked a Club Level Room, your room will have access to the Inn Keepers Club. These rooms will either have a view of the Courtyard or Crescent Lake. There is no way to guarantee a "Water View" while booking this category, and therefore, as a previous poster mentioned, per request only.

Unless...

You book a Deluxe, Club Level Room. These rooms offer additional space and guarantee a view of Crescent Lake. Some are located on the same floor as the Inn Keepers Club, some on the floor below.

If your wife has her heart set on a water view... the most cost effective way to ensure the view would to simply book the "Water View" room category. The price to upgrade to Club Level isn't that "much" more... but understand you risk losing your water view.

If you don't mind splurging to ensure you have access to the Club Level Lounge and a Water View, consider the Deluxe, Club Level... just understand that your room MAY not be on the same floor as the lounge itself, which can be an inconvenience to some.

If you are staying club level that is how the rooms are located. Odd number means water view or Boardwalk view. Even numbers are facing garden views. The room assigners know this. I have stayed at the club level at the BWI for over 15 times. I have met with the rooms assigners( by chance) who told this little tip Also the club level CM told me this as well. MHO
