Should I upgrade?

Hello!! New Member!

I have booked to go to DLP 6th-9th July.

Am currently booked to stay at SL in a Montana Lake View room.

I really wanted to stay at NB this time, as I've stayed at NY and SL before, and fancied a change, but didn't want to move further out to Cheyenne or Santa Fe.

I don't know whther it's worth upgrading to the pink hotel or to NY.

As the park is open for such long hours and we are there for quite a long stay, I like the idea of an outdoor pool, so we can relax a bit in the sun if we fancy, and I think the Disneyland hotel has only an indoor one.

What would you do? You seem to be the experts!!

Personally, I'd upgrade to the Disneyland Hotel if I had the money to do so. Just for the experience of staying there.... Thats just me personally though... I'm sure other people on the board would have other ideas!

Yeah, I would love to.

My bf and I think it might be a waste on the two of us though....

When I have kids I definitely will stay there as the characters are always around adn for little ones its so much closer. But I quite enjoy walking through the village, and do quite want an outside pool.

And I think the castle club is full for my dates, and I don't think it's worth the money to stay there and not get the upgrade......

OH and we'll get over £900 extra spending money. But I'm still in two minds....

I personally don't see it being a waste for the two of you! I think it would be wonderful...

Maybe the NY would be a good choice then because you'd still get your walks through the village?

The only other thing I'd bear in mind is that whilst the park is open longer in the summer you will more than likely spend more time in the queues than any other time of year....

I have to say though, me and my fiancee loved the Sequoia Lodge....

Whatever you decide I'm sure you'll have a lovely time...

The DLH doesnt have a outdoor pool if that helps with your decision.

If the pool is important to you then don't stay at the Disneyland Hotel, it is the worst pool onsite. it is a very small indoor pool.

That's where I really wanted to stay, but tripadvisor has a lot of bad reviews on it. Says the breakfasts are hectic and too crowded and that the hotel is getting really run down...

I'd say definately go for the NPB, the whole Yacht Club theme fits perfectly with the Summer Vacation type holiday. I keep promising myself a week in the summer and NPB would definately be the hotel I'd choose for the poolside.

It also just happens to be my favourite hotel.

I'd quite like to stay there too.... I've seen some bad reviews of it too, but then, I'd seen even worse ones for the Sequoia Lodge and that was GORGEOUS! Also, the hotels are apparantly getting painted and stuff at the moment....

NPB really is a lovely hotel, i was upgraded there and i had a really nice time and i would not hestitate to stay there again.
