looking for a good deal on a hotel for 1 night stays in

1. Somewhere about 400 to 500 miles from Dallas going to Orlando
2. Orlando (one day for stay after Disney but before Vero Beach).
3. Near Atlanta Georgia give or take 100 miles.

Thinking of using Priceline or Hotwire to bid on a room, any suggestains.

I have stayed using priceline before with no major problem. I like the thought that the price is already accepted threw hotwire and I know the ammenities, just not the name.
Will also need hotel that has late check in. I know priceline allows this but not sure of hotwire.

Orlando night I am familiar with areas to bid in but not sure of areas for trip to and fromn Florida. I would like to have hotel reserved before I travel.

Did you see the Priceline sticky thread up above? It might be helpful. There is supposed to be a whole board dedicated to Priceline bidding all over but I don't know what it is. Maybe they reference it.

I used Priceline once and got a good deal. It scared me though!

I'm not a huge fan of PLing for an on-the-way-stop on a road trip. I often find that I don't get as far as (or get farther than) I had planned due to traffic, weather, or a sudden burst of inspiration.

I like your style but you have to be careful. I remember once wandering around Mobile, Alabama and finally settling for a pretty bad fleatrap. There was some kind of big thing going on in town that weekend and we were too exhausted to push on.

Speaking of Mobile, Alabama, if you want to get about that far and stop there is (or was) a nice HI Express just east of Mobile in Daphne. We've stayed there a few times.

Repeat Repeat either stop before get Atlanta or after pass Atlanta. Don't get close to Atl because traffic is bad. If i had choose I would Dalton Georgia, Carterisville, Georgia. If pass The Budweiser plant you have went to far stop in my opinion.

I here my advice stop when see 3 lanes Freeway before or after Atlanta. Atlanta has 100 lanes of traffic. Tip once get pass Budweiser plant get into the fast lane possible because it getting ready go into a hundred lines.

The Atlanta is like my second home. I still get lost sometimes.

We don't play it completely by ear. When we are about 1-2 hours out from where we think we'll stop, we make plans. We used to do that with a AAA TourBook and cell phones back in the day. Now, the 3G iPad figures it all out for us.

Wen I travel from Ft Worth/Dallas to Florida, I stay in Pensacola. Have no idea how many miles that is.

check out lastminutetravel, easy enough to figure out what hotel you're booking:thumbsup2
