Should I try for VGF for our last night or maybe last 2 nights?

Hi Everyone

Right now I have 9 nights booked at BWV - 8 nights are studio boardwalk view. Our last night is pool/garden view. I have been on the waitlist for the boardwalk view since early Jan. Not having much hope in the waitlist seeing that it is the end of Food and Wine, Veteran's Day weekend, and Wine and Dine. I was thinking of trying to get VGF for the last night. I know it is crazy to move for 1 night so I was thinking maybe trying for the last 2 nights. I love the BWV and it is my home resort so I know I will be back. What should I do? I also fear that with the busy weekend the BW area will be crazy busy with the runners. DH hates changing resorts. Should I just wait and hope the waitlist opens?

I would give it a try. I think two nights would be better though so you get a complete day in there. We will be trying it out on our next trip for two nights since it uses so many points, and because my DH doesn't like the looks of it; he thinks it too old ladyish, I love it.

you may as well try it. You're moving anyway. The hard part of moving is packing/unpacking so as long as you've packed, its only marginally easier to move to another room at boardwalk than to go to a new resort. Agree though that it would be better to move for 2 nights than one.

I got up early yesterday to book VGF online at 8:00 and I couldnt book the nights of Nov. 9and 10. I called MS and was told that I have to wait the 4 months from check in so now I need to call on July 9th. I called MS 3 times last week to confirm that I should call on June 23rd and all 3 times I was told I could book the nights I wanted on June 23rd. If I can get the 2 nights then I will move but I decided not to move for 1 night. My DH would rather just stay at BW and move to another room if the WL does not open. I have a feeling it will not be easy trying to book VGF for that weekend. As long as I am in Disney it really doesn't matter where we stay.
