Should I try BW instead of BCV???

We're just back a couple of weeks ago from our 2 week trip :sad2: , and I'm already thinking about next May/June! I'm actually thinking about changing our routine (horrors!!!). We usually split our stay between VWL and BCV. My three children just don't seem to be able to let go of VWL, so I book a few days there, but I love the location of BCV for walking to EPCOT, easy self-parking, and of course the pool area. However, I'm considering trading in BCV for a stay at BW. Can anyone tell me the difference in walking distance to EPCOT from BCV and BW? Also, how does the parking compare? Any other tips about BW would be welcome. Thanks!!

I have never stayed at the BWV, but will be staying at the BWI, I'll let you know.
I have heard and read great things about BWI, I am sure where ever you stay you will have a great time. :wave2:

BCV are a bit closer than BWV to Epcot. But BWV is a bit closer to Disney Studios than BVC.

BWV has further parking, so you really need to use valet parking unless you like the hike.

BCV is quieter than BWV. BWV is right in the middle of all the action.

We prefer BCV over BWV.

We also split our stays everytime we go...usually between Poly GVC and BWV, and will be doing each for 3 days in August...We have never stayed at the BCV (although we have stayed in the BC), but in March we walked over to see them from the BW...the BCV are definitely quieter and more out of the way than the BWV...However, for us we much rather enjoy being in the middle of the action...
It's a short walk to Epcot, and you can even walk to MGM if you like (maybe 15 min)...although it doesn't compare with SAB, the pool at the BW is alot of fun, and my kids have loved it everytime...
The walk from all self park lots at the hotels are long as far as I am concerned, but I don't think the one at BW is much longer than any other (although it is up a slight hill, which may make it seem longer)...
it comes down to preference really...there is alot more activity at the BW, so if you want to be in the middle of the action, it's the place to stay...if you like it quieter and more laid back, stay at the BC...you won't be disappointed at either, and you can always walk from one to the other very easily...

Have Fun!!

...you might want to give it a try and decide for yourself. We love it -- the atmosphere, the theming, the nostalgia, the energy, the casual elegance are all really special.

Having said that: BWV is a bit further of a walk from Epcot, and the self-parking is REALLY far. One of the pleasures of the BCV, imho, is that the self-parking is literally right outside the door, hassle-free.

Also: the BWV is notorious for its loooooong hallways, with only one set of elevators serving all the villas. BCV is a little smaller and, in that regard, more manageable.

We just had to make this decision. Since we were going to have to move from an OKW one bedroom to a two bedroom, we thought we would just change resorts. We chose BWV over BCV because we promised the kids a trip to BB and TL this time. We don't think we would use SAB this trip, so we will save it for another time.

Thanks for your replies. This is such a hard decision for me. We use our car a lot when we are at BCV - drive to water parks, grocery store, DTD, and even MGM and AK. Although I would like to try BWV, the parking thing could be an issue. I find the self-parking at VWL to be pretty far, too. Maybe I can talk my children into giving up VWL for a few days at BWV!
