Should I try Atkins again?

I tried Atkins a year or so ago- and frankly it made me feel yucky. I did it for a week or so, and then got off of it because I just didn't feel good. Now I see people saying that you do feel crappy for a little while. I was thinking of trying it again, but I'm really not sure of all the ins and outs of the diet.

Hey...Give it a try again if you want. There are a lot of people here on many different diets. If Atkins does not work for you, for whatever reason, then try something else. The important thing is to find something that is just right for you. There is no right or wrong diet, just one that helps you loose weight and be more healthy. So step right up....and good luck!

Sure, go for it!!!! It seems like all our Atkins WISHers LOVE the program, especially once they get past that yucky feeling part and they see the incredible weight loss!!!

Good luck no matter what you decide to do. Just stick around here, no matter what! Some days I feel invincible and some days I want to throw in the towel, but I always make sure I read as many WISH posts as I can and it always helps me to keep on track!!!

If you want to try it I think you should but it needs to be your decision. There is an eating plan that is perfect for you out there, it might be Atkins, it might not be, you won't know unless you try.

If you try and you cannot tolerate it you must promise me that you will not feel like a failure. Is that a deal? That is really important to me, because there is not one WISHer who is a failure.

Okay, say "I promise." :)

If you want I can email the rules for induction to you. The books is really helpful, though.

Okay, I promise!;)

I actually printed the rules of induction off of a site Jody pm'd me. After dinner last night I was kind of "freaking" I wanted something sweet so badly! I wasn't hungry- just craving!

Try looking into some of the other low carb diets. I tried Atkins for a few days earlier this year and gave up rather quickly. Last week I started reading some other low carb websites and found another low carb diet - Protein Power (It's actually been around for a while, I've just never heard of it!) I bought the 30-day plan book and have found it to be much easier than Atkins.

The 30-day book gives you meal plans for each day, which is exactly what I need! So far I've been following it for 3 days and I'm feeling pretty good. If you search the web for "protein power" you will find a handful of sights that discuss this particular plan. It may not help, but it's just what I needed.

Good luck !
