Aftermath of a power outage time. I've only got a few baby carrots, 2 half jars of salsa, a few cans of soda and some cookies. Anything need to be tossed?

How long was your power out and did the items get to room temperature? Of course, you can keep the soda and the carrots, both are OK at room temp. There's plenty of acid in the salsa to keep bacteria at bay but if it was at room temp for more than a few hours I'd toss it.
As for the cookies, I only toss my cookies after a wild night of partying, and certainly not since college....

It was pretty cold last night so pretty sure nothing hit room temp.

I think you're in the clear. I can't see any of that spoiling overnight, especially if the fridge was kept closed.

:headache: I will not tell her to toss her cookies....I will not tell her to toss her cookies...I will not tell her to toss her cookies. :headache:

Took the words right out of my mouth.

No- it will all be fine. Even the salsa. I have taken plenty of "food safe" classes in my years in the restaurant business.
