Seems like a silly question, but it's 34 degrees here in cloudy Bozeman, MT today. IN JUNE!!! Good golly, I can't wait to go to DL next week!! We'll be in Anaheim for 4 days and then San Diego for 4 days. I've checked weather.com and it's supposed to be in the 70's but is there a cool ocean breeze? (which of course, would seem very warm to me at this point!!)

Just was packing and wondered if I should pack more cropped pants for me and my girls (NOT my DH:rotfl2: ).

Thanks!

Well. I would bring both, probably going with more shorts than capris. Why? well, I would think that because you're so used to the cold right now, even if it's just 70 degrees in CA, that's gonna be overwhelming for you, and shorts would likely be better. Going from 40 degrees to 70-80 in one day? Yucky!

I like cropped pants since I don't like sitting on hot benches with bare legs!:rotfl2:

I agree with this! It is going to feel warmer to you then you'd imagine!

Both!

BTW, ~It's a small world after all....:rolleyes1 ~

I got my first tat in Bozeman, and loved going there on days off while I worked in Yellowstone, out of Gardiner, MT! You live in BEAUTIFUL country! I'm so very jealous.... :thumbsup2

Yes, I do love it here...except it takes SOOO long to get summer here and then it's so short. We put up with it for the beauty though. I love Yellowstone!

When I went in May, it was the same type of temp swing (except not QUITE as bad, maybe 20 degrees) I brought only capri pants and then wore layers on top, I was just fine!

Have a great trip!

:lmao: Mental image there... my DH in crop pants:rotfl2:

I added my DH part because I saw that thread on the Budget Board about the lady trying to find crop pants for her husband. No offense to the lady, I just COULD NOT IMAGINE nor would I ALLOW my husband to go around town in crop pants. That mental image is not a pretty one. :lmao:

Hey Mermaidwannabee,

I like shorts during the day and crops at night.

My brat will be starting at Montana State in the fall! We're almost neighbors!

Just a thought: when my DBF and I were in Germany last summer, we saw a lot of young men wearing cropped pants. I guess its fashionable for men in Europe! The first time my DBF saw this, he turned to me and said, "why are the men wearing high waters? Don't they know the pants are too short for them?!" :rotfl: I had to explain to him what capris were.

I'm going in September, and although its going to be hot, I think I'm going to wear mostly capris (or cropped pants) because I'm more comfortable in them.

mermaid-
If my thighs weren't all spider-veiny I would wear shorts, but self tanner can only cover so much.
So I wear bermuda shorts.
Also as another poster mentioned sitting on a hot bench with shorts is not pleasant.

Bring capris for night time. It will still be nice out but a little nippy the later it gets.

I would wear a tank top but we're going lake camping right before we leave so I don't want to fry my skin even more.
So I'll opt for s/s T-shirts. Mickey and pirate ones of course!

So Dobie, do you have 1 inch of snow right now? It's still coming down hard this morning and it's 33 degrees.

Thanks everyone for the added advice re: my packing!! And I won't be too critical if I see any man in capris..as long as my DH doesn't ever get tempted. ;)

LOL...my kids want me to get their snowpants out of the crawl space right now. NOOOOO!!! I will not make a snow angel in June!

No, Mermaid, we don't have an inch of snow!!! It's cold and raining, though.

We drove over to Bozeman from Kennewick, WA during our spring break (second week of April) to check it out before DD committed. There was 8 inches of snow overnight. I was impressed by how well the town dealt with it. I was impressed by Bozeman all around--friendly, safe-feeling, beautiful. If only the airfare into Gallatin Airport wasn't so bloody expensive!

The airfare here is a killer; hence the reason we're driving to DL! It is a friendly place. I love it here.

I am a weird one. I don't even own a pair of shorts. I just have always hated the way the looked on me, and one day I realized I don't have to wear them anymore and got rid of them!

It is capri pants as far as the eye can see!;)
