should I switch AKV Value studio to Kidani?

We were able to get 2 value studios at Kidani at 6 mos out.. I was psyched.. but now im thinking maybe we should try to get into Kidani based on what people have read. I know its a bit of a walk to Jambo HOuse and we do need the food court.. but walking isnt an issue for us.. we are renting a car too so the busses are not an issue.. Kidani just looks more quiet and private and I think the kids (DS9 DS 11 and DD4) may enjoy it more.. but is it worth the 18 extra points that I will have to hopefully get transfered to me..??

I stayed at Jambo House and absolutely loved it!!! I didn't find it too noisy at all. There were actually lots of quiet places to take a walk or sit and read. I have never been to Kidani but have also heard great things. I think you will have a great time in either place!

we stayed at both and perfer Kidani but that would depend on how much "resort time" is in your schedule. If you tend to spend a lot of time around the main building and eating at retaurants, then maybe you would perfer Jambo. It is a bit of a walk, but no sweat with a car. Kidani has a great pool / play area.

For a studio, I would say that it is probably not worth the extra points since the rooms are basically the same. Kidani one and two bedrooms have and extra bathroom and sleeper bed vs. Jambo.

As mentioned it would depend on how much time you plan to be at the resort. The Kidani pool is great for kids with a fantastic water slide and water play area. The Community Hall is great too, lots of games and activities. If having access to multiple restaurants is important, particularly a counter service one, then Jambo House is probably better. The value units are smaller than a standard size unit by about 3 feet so the extra points would get you a slightly larger room.

You can also now purchase up to 24 "one time use" points through Member Services for $15/each, but there are some restrictions on when you can use them. This might be a better option that having to rely on a transfer of a small number of points.

Thanks everyone... I think Im going to stick with Jambo.. too much of a hastle to try to get transfer points. I already used my "1 time 24 points" I actually only used 15 . I didnt realize I couldnt go back and use the 9 remaining points.. Oh well..

Good choice! Although I've never stayed at Kidani, I love my value studios at Jambo. And I'll also be in one in 6 months (checking in 9/23)
