Should I request a room at Nick Hotel?

Does anyone know if I should request a room at Nick Hotel? We have never been here before and I have no idea what to expect. We are there April 18 - 20 and then checking out to head over to the Polynesian at Disney

I can't wait for the Poly, but my daughter is so excited about Nick! Is there any advice or anything else we should know about Nick? I knew this was the place to ask!

We didn't think about it till we got there. The guy behind the desk was offering to up-grade me to a pool view for only $30 a night more. I was using points for the room so my cheapness shone through and I told him no thanks.

Well it turned out all they had left was pool view and we ended up on the first floor right at one of the gated entrances to the cool pool with the giant water slide. It was a busy location with lots of traffic (foot) and noise.

We were only there 2 nights, but we loved the location. If I was to be there longer (in retrospect) I would pick a parking lot view as I would not want to spend a week listening to the noise while in my room.

We just got back from one night at Nick hotel. We were put in building 12 which was right next to the lobby which at Disney you would want... but here you don't ever go to the lobby after check in. So we were really realy far from the entry to the pool and even further to the "mall" where everything is. If you could request a room I would choose building 6. Also ask for a non pool facing room. We were non facing and it was very quiet... the second you rounded the corner to the elevator it was really loud.
