Should I rearrange to try Concourse Stk before it closes?

We'll be heading to WDW in early Feb, and have all of our ADRs.

I just saw that Concourse Steakhouse is closing, and we've never been there before. Is it worth replacing something else (probably Ohana) to try this restaurant once before it closes?

I'm half-afraid that we would eat there, love it, and then never be able to eat there again, LOL. The Ohana dinner we'd be replacing would be during Wishes, if that helps you advise me which place to eat.

I've heard mixed reviews lately of Concourse. :( We have reservations there but we're thinking of cancelling them. So I say probably don't get rid of Ohana (my father was there in Sept and said he really liked it..and he's picky!) but see what everyone else says!

Since it was posted on here that May 10th is the closing date, I would say why not go there before it closes since February would be you're last chance to eat there.

Had you asked me 2 years ago I would have told you to definitely dine there. But it has taken a rapid slide into mediocrity in the past few years, from service to condition of the restaurant to food quality.

I hope that whatever they open in future is reflective of the quality once shown long ago at the Concourse Steakhouse (but then I can't imagine why they would open an Asian restaurant and further dilute the lack of any consistent theme at that hotel)

Sadly my opinion is that there is now far better choices than the Concourse Steakhouse to be had.

I'm afraid of this as well - I've never eaten there, am curious - but don't want to fall in love with it if we can't eat there again.

We went in October, and to be honest it was pretty average.

I wouldn't like the food at Ohana as I'm a fussy eater, but from what I hear people love that place!

On the other hand, it is your last chance to try the Concourse, so depending on how often you visit, maybe you do want to give it a try and save Ohana for another time?

We ate there last week and enjoyed. I think most of the food at Disney is of the same quality. However, Concourse was probably our best pverall meal. The server we had was wonderful. She was very detailed and took great care of us. My kids asked for milkshakes and even though they were not on the menu, she got them for them. It was a very relaxing meal.

hmmmm - good question. I think Concourse gets a bad rap around here, but Ohana reviews are worse lately. But's that's just DIS!!!

We're scheduled to try Ohana's in January - cancelled our ADR's last trip. And here is my review from Concourse from August trip. The service left a bad taste in my mouth, food was okay - let us know what you decide!

No.

Our more recent experiences with Concourse are not good. The service is fine, but the food is only mediocre. I wouldn't alter planned ADRs to go there.

I would stick with Ohana. :thumbsup2 I never really thought that Concourse was all that special. Or maybe you could add it in for breakfast one day? I used to enjoy eating breakfast there-- the sticky mickeys are to die for!!

We are there in September, knowing it would be closing. It was nice, the food was nic, but it wasn't something I couldn't get at a decent steakhouse in a medium szed city. I don't think I'd drop a reservation for Ohana's to go. I'd fit it in if you already had an opening.

I would definately squeeze it in if you can - of course I'm a nut for all things Contemporary so I really wanted to eat there before it closed.
