The latest edition of Vacation Magic has an interesting blurb about the 4th of July activities at OKW. I'll be staying at BW, but I'm looking for a non-park thing to do on the 4th. If I drive over to OKW, will I be embarassed and told to leave because of the pool hop ban? I would be going with my two liitle kids and my wife. I guess as a DVC member it's ridiculous to ban me from activities listed in the member newsletter. However, the rule does state I can only visit BW pools that day. What would you guys do?

Normally, the activities at a resort are intended for the guests staying at that resort. An exception would be a DVC Members Update, where all members are invited to attend the presentation at either OKW or BWV.

You should probably call ahead and ask, as those are not DVC activities, but OKW activities and some may require a sign-up in advance.

Some of the things listed in Vacation Magic are information about things to do at a resort but are not actually member activites open to everyone.

Good Luck!

I just returned from a trip (my first to my home resort) to the WL Villas. They gave me a little newsletter with things resort guests can do which included pool hopping. But the paper said that during the week of June 30 to July 5th pool hopping will not be allowed due to the high volume of guests at WDW for the holidays.
We did enjoy checking out the various pools while we were there, especially Yacht and Beach. Peggie
