Do the tour - it's very low (no) pressure and will answer many questions.

There are no blackout dates. Reservations are subject to availability. You may make a reservation at your home resort (the one you buy) as early as 11 months prior to check out. You may make reservations at the other DVC resorts as early as 7 months prior to check out.

DVC works best for those who :
- go to WDW at least every other year,
- stay in at least a moderate resort on site when they do
- can plan more than 7 months ahead
- can minimize their Friday and Saturday night stays (those are more expenseive)

From your post let me start by saying you are no where near the decision stage. You really need to search these boards, tour DVC, order video before you should even consider joining.

With any timeshare you need to do the work so you can maximize your ownership. Doing the work means knowing the program inside and out before you buy in.

Good luck with this. DVC is not a wise choice for everyone. If you have to finance I'd say no. It is a luxury purchase and should be treated as such.

thanks all i will do the tour and Dwilliams i go some much to disney i thought it might be worth it to buy i have been there 57 times and now that im in my 30's i thought it would be great for when i have kids. but you make me think about the financeing part i hate to finance and that is what we would have to do. well if i go back in august i will have to check it out and order the video. thanks again for the input
