Where to start... Ok hubby and I will be married 10 years in feb! We have dated from highschool so when we got married we didnt have a lot of money.. we had a simple wedding ( just my parents ) and we didnt put much thought into our rings.. we just wanted to be married!...lol well anyways instead of us doing something for our 10th an. , we are taking the family ( us and 3 kids 13, 10 and 4 ) to disneyland!
Ok here is where it gets tricky... I dont know about any of ya all but we have had our ups and downs.. well a lot of downs..lol but here is the thing .. he KNOWS I am obsessed with POTC and have been since I was a kid.. I bought a new wedding set for us ( he dont know ) and I kinda want to have a renewal while we are at disneyland.. So I get thinking where can I suprise him with this where it could be kinda romantic but nothing to quiet where he might suspect something... What do u think about the blue bayou? I have never ate there but it is right there with the POTC, its dark, from what I have seen on the ride it is quiet... seems like a good spot to me.. I just dont want to feel like a dork and I want it to be special! I just dont want to do the whole marriage thing again.. just something cute and special between us.... ugggggggghhhhhhh I am haveing trouble trying to type out what I am thinking... lol Does this sound stupid? or better yet any ideas? sorry I am all over the place with this question.. It is just hard to put it into words..

I am not into all the "mush" stuff but it sounds like this is very special to you. We have eaten at BB numerous times and it would be a great place to renew your vows. Make 1130 ressies for a waterside and let them know what is going on. Just my two cents.

Congrats on the 10 years. What blackjackdelta says sounds like good advice. I don't have anything to add except maybe post this on the Community Board (here on the dis). It seems like when anyone asks a wedding type questions, there are 5 pages of responses.

Anyway, here's a bump to the top, maybe others will post.

My DH and I just returned from DL for our 22nd Ann and vow renewal. We where in the rose garden and just stood before each other while our sixteen year old video taped. It was a very special time for both of us. We reallly enjoyed just being there in the most magical place on earth. We went to BB we had 11:30 resses and got a water side table, it was fun and romatic. But on the other hand we had people acting like real idiots, screaming at the people on the rides, ect. Hopefully this wont happen to you. Just remember what ever you do will be special memories for all times.

My DH gave me my ten year anniversary ring at Disneyland (10 years ago).

If you love Pirates, why not exchange rings in the treasure room. I bet you could come up with something creative. He is the greatest treasure in your life, or You would sail the Seven Seas to be with him, or you could reach over and pretend to pick the ring from the pile.

I had another idea. What about Pirate's Lair on Tom Sawyer's Island. There are some very private areas on the island. You could renew your vows and take pictures with Jack Sparrow and the pirate crew.

I had another idea. What about Pirate's Lair on Tom Sawyer's Island. There are some very private areas on the island. You could renew your vows and take pictures with Jack Sparrow and the pirate crew.

Now THAT'S a great idea. Go there first thing in the morning (first raft). I bet you'll have the area where Sparrow hangs out (the very far side of the island) by yourself. You can do it in front of the pirate booty.

Plus, i think Sparrow normally has a helper that maybe can keep impeders away.

Anyone have any pics of Sparrow on the island, where the treasure is?

Then have lunch at 11:30 (at BB) after the vows.

Bumping..... cause I'm really curious if anyone has any pics of Pirate's Lair (especially near the pirate's treasure).

Also because maybe someone else might have some opinions on vow renewals at DLR.
