I booked a package without Magical Express on April 2 and paid in full on the same day. We are due to check in on Aug. 4 and have not received anything in the mail. I have my confirmation by e-mail from Disney with a confirm. number.
We have always booked room only and received everything at check-in but today I read about others getting a packet in the mail and now I am worried!
I am thinking that since we do not need ME tags that is why they did not send us a packet but I'm not sure.

You only get a packet when you book a package; there is no reason to send a packet for a room-only because you do not receive the perks that package holders receive.

OP indicated that they did book a package this time. OP, yes you should have received a packet from WDW. The ME tags are separate and come in separate mailing/envelope, so not needing those would not have prevented you from getting your Disney packet.

I'd call WDW and ask them about it. I don't think it's a huge deal, it just gives you details about your package, luggage tags (plastic kind- you don't have to use them, they're just a "gift") and some coupons/vouchers for things like Planet Hollywood and recreational activities. They should be able to express mail you the packet.

I didn't get a package in the mail this time when I booked my package. Are they cutting back or do they think I am an old timer now? I kind of look forward to my packet.

Thank you for the info. I will call them and see what is going on. As long as we get our room and park tickets along with all the extras when we arrive I really don't mind not receiving it ahead of time. :)
