Should I go in June or July?

I have not been to WDW since I was a little girl and I'm planning a family trip there for 2006. I already made reservations two months ago for July 20-28 2006 but now I'm wondering if I should change those dates to June. Is there a big difference as far as crowds, weather (rain & temp), etc.?

we've done both June & July...
they are both hot. With June (depending on when you go), not all the schools up north are out (In MA we don't get out until the end of June).
So that might affect crowd levels... it did seem to me when we went in June it was a little less crowded than July. In July we noticed a lot of tour groups from other countries, and they tended to hit the lines in large groups.

We too have been in both June and July...........and much more prefer June over July. As the crowd levels seem to be much lighter in June. However, with my DH's work schedule, we are forced into vacationing the first 2 weeks of July.

Another thing we noticed in our June trip was...less rain in June that July, but that may have been pure luck!

If you don't have a specific week in June, I have noticed that the earilier in June you go, the less crowded it is because spring break is over and the huge hit of crowds for summer vacation has yet to begin. The first or second week in June should be good-still going to have the crowds, but not en masse.
Weather, I think, is by pure luck, unfortunately!!
Whenever you plan to go-have a good time!!!

June is better -- the earliest in the month you can swing it. We went the very week of July you are looking at in 2002 -- it was hot, crowded and rained every day. We've been several times in early June and found it to be less crowded and rainy but still hot.

I'd say June as well, we'll be there June 5-11 and are hoping to beat out the majority of the crazy crowds...

We will be there from 4th - 18th June so I would really appreciate it if someone could clear the crowds in advance please - ta eversomuch

My DH and DD4 and I are going June 3-8. Just FYI though, it is Gay Day week from May 31 - June 6. They are expecting the largest attendance of their organiztion this year (good for them!!) . I had no choice to pick this week - but if you feel like you need to steer away from their huge crowd then check out their sites: 2 organizations = 2 different schedules:

I am glad to go this week because it is early enough in June and the crowds won't be en masse - only FL schools will be out, not the rest of the country.

Sorry to disappoint you, but FL schools aren't the only ones out. I know some of our schools that got out last week, but a majority of the schools in AL will get out this week.

New Mexico's out by end of May and assume other warm weather states (like Arizona) also get out by then. As for us in CT, we're not out until 3rd week of June.

OP - Good move changing from July to June!
