We're currently booked at ASMu for 11/1 to 11/6, in one room. There's me, DH, and 3 DS's (10, 7 and 2). Now I'm starting to panic about the size of the room. Should we book a second room and request connecting? I know they won't guarantee this, but I've heard you can usually get it.

Also, I know I can't book a room only ressie with the current special deal. Could I change my current ressie to 1 adult/3 children (with park tickets) and then add the second room with just 1 adult (with park tickets)? I guess I have to call CRO....:confused3

You could book a separate room or you could book a suite at ASMu. They have the new family suites that would be perfect for you and your family. I'm sure Minnie is around with all the info.

I love the idea of the family suites, and we plan to stay there when DS #3 is over 3, but I don't think they're included with this fall deal :confused3

We just returned from a couple of nights at All Star Sports (before moving over for a week at GF Royal Palm Club! -- How many time do people make that move, I wonder?!)

We were two adults and two 10-year-olds. We thought the amount of space was fine and frankly didn't think the room seemed much smaller than the moderate room we had when we stayed at Coronodo Springs.

Another room would be nice, but I don't think it's necessary unless you really want to the luxury of extra space.

I would really consider getting the family suite for your trip. We were just at the All Star Music and my son and his family had the suite. It was really large and according to them, very confortable beds. With the kitchenette, they were able to have breakfast in the AM and my son could have his "before bed snack"! Having the other room for his son and grandson was perfect.

I'm glad your son loved the suites, and we plan to do the family suites in the future. However, for this trip, we're trying to keep costs down. Currently our package (with one room at ASMu) is $1,128 (5nights, 6day MYW base tickets), going to two rooms would cost about $275 more - which is doable. Going to the family suite increases us to $2,066 - $938 more:scared1: This is just because the family suites aren't available with the fall discount package.

We don't spend a lot of time in our room, so I'll probably just stick with the one room - I'm just always second guessing myself

i think you would be ok with the one room. we have only had 2 A. and 2 kids. but for the 2 year old, will you have a pack n play , or crib.? i really think it will be fine. you will be so tired the little ones will prob. go right to sleep. me and dh went last summer and had the suite. it was very nice, esp with the 2 bathrooms, even though i get tired from all that walking i still like to watch some tv at nite. so the sep. room was good. but i think if it was me i would save the money and spend it on other things. have a great trip.

Get another room! They are very small and if you're thinking about it now, you're going to wish you did. I wouldn't stay in a value with more that one other person, or myself and 2 children, they're that small. They will guarantee connecting rooms with families, and you may just be able to get a king bed and a double connecting (we did this at ASMu) and it worked out fine. In the single room there is no privacy curtain and you'll have to change in the tiny bathroom the whole time with kids pounding on the door doing the p.p. dance ;)

AFAIK, they will guarantee connecting rooms with young children. I usually suggest that a family of 5 get another room, but in your case I think you'll be OK as your kids are so young. It'll be a tight squeeze, but you already know that from your previous stays at Value resorts. Save your money and stick with the single room.

I second this one. How can parents enjoy their vacation with the kids almost on top of them, watching every movie, awake when you want to sleep or you awake and the kids trying to sleep. This is YOUR vacation too. Time to pamper the parents at least a little.
Keep what you got and add one connecting room with the adult on it. This way you can enjoy your vacation too
