My family and I are going to Disney Memorial Day weekend. We are staying 25-30 May. My kids are 8 and 6. We usually spent all day at the parks with no naps. My kids are wired!!!!

My wife and I have beat this a bunch of times and I don't know if we are spoiled or what. Maybe someone else can give us some insight.

Our meal schedule look like this.

May 25 we arrive Dinner@ Citricos GF
May 26
B--1900 Park Fare
L--Sci Fi
D--Brown Derby / Fantasmic

May 27
B--counter
L--counter
D--California Grill

May 28
B--counter
L--Marrakesh (I can skip this one)
D--LeCellier

May 29
B--Crystal Palace
L--counter
D--Portobello Yacht Club

Let me know if I should get the dining plan or the deluxe plan.

IMO you should get it... When you have kids on the plan it is VERY worth it for the savings.. Kid's plan is at such a discounted rate the two kids will save you a ton of money over the course of the trip...

Some people will say it is not worth it on a per day basis when you do a buffet meal because that day you might have actually spent less OOP on that meal.... But you must average the savings over the course of your entire stay...

You have some expensive places on your list, so I really don't think even on a daily basis you would spend less OOP....

This past Januaray I went over each meal that we had ADR for.... I figured out around about how much the bill would be (easy because we had a lot of fixed price meals planned)....I went day by day, menu by menu... Because of the kids discounted rate on the plan, we saved well over $200 for that trip because we were getting the plan....

Even with the changes to the plan :sad2: it will still be worth it because of the kids and where you plan to eat.

I think with all of the 2TS credits that you are planning on using you should get the deluxe plan. I guess it depends on what you plan on eating at those places but you could almost spend per person at one meal what the plan for the whole day cost.

Here is what I would do with DxDP:

May 25 we arrive Dinner@ Citricos GF (2TS)

May 26
B--1900 Park Fare (1TS)
L--Sci Fi (1TS)
D--Brown Derby / Fantasmic (2TS)

May 27
B—counter I would do a 1TS Breakfast or Lunch and use Snack for the other meal
L--counter
D--California Grill (2TS)

May 28
B—counter (I would use snack credits and make Marrakesh early lunch)
L--Marrakesh (I can skip this one) (1TS)
D—LeCellier (1TS)

May 29
B--Crystal Palace (1TS)
L--counter
D--Portobello Yacht Club (2TS)

This would leave 1 credit you could use it for a counter service lunch or breakfast on the 30th. That would mean you wouldn’t have to pay any meals OOP.

If you plan to eat all those meals the Deluxe plan would work well.

One comment on your ADRs: Sci Fi might be waste after a breakfast buffet and before a Signature Dining meal (usually those Fantasmic ADRs are early too). A snack or a shared CS meal will likely hold you over between those two big meals. You can also grab something at or after Fantasmic too.

You'll get 15 meal credits per person and righ now you have 16 meals planned:

May 25 - 2
May 26 - 4
May 27 - 4
May 28 - 3
May 29 - 3
May 30 - 0

Once on the Deluxe plan I wouldn't pay OOP for anymore meals, so either share to save credits for the 30th, change a 2TS ADRs to something 1TS or just drop a meal.

Sounds like a great trip!
