Really contemplating whether to get an AP or not.

Hubby and i are booked at CSR from april 16-24 (8nights)with the gift card promo. It's both our first time to visit the world and we're from the west coast. And needless to say, we're super excited!!:cool1:

As i said, thinking of getting the AP, even if it's just for me, jto avail of the room discounts. But with the current promo 20/30/40 for everybody, is it still worth it for us(or just me) to get the AP? i have no idea what are the AP rates for the dates we're visiting so i cant do the math. I figured if going with AP will allow us to stay deluxe, even just for a standard room in AKL or WL, instead of a mod with the same budget, that'll be great plus the option of maybe going back later. Coz i know i will most likely do a bounceback reservation, also just in case we can visit again later this year.

Or would it be better to stick with our current ressies?

please help... i really appreciate any input

Honestly, we base our purchase of an AP on how many days we will visit the parks. The room discouts with an AP are usually a little more than the GP (although we couldn't apply the AP discount to our Feb res!! ) but not in themselves worth the cost. Disney is having a combined AP that includes all parks in WDW as well as DL now. That may be a better option for you if you visit DL as well (I read it's 700) I wouldn't base the purchase of an AP just on room discounts though. Currently the AP discounts only go through June 3rd and the GP through Aug!! That's weird as well, the AP discounts usually have come out prior to the GP.

AP rates on the weekend are rack rate...so most discounts are better than that. for an 8 night stay, I'd price out how much you'd save with the spring/summer room only. PM if you need help figuring.
