Should I do the MK Photo Shoot or not?

If you do the MK Photoshoot and add another park, Is it done on the same day?

Yep. I think MK is first then you go to the other park. Or it may depend on what time the park opens.

OMG! There's a crane?!

I have to ask my planner about this. Anyone heard anything about when the crane will get taken down?

DisneyBerry - yes there will be a crane up during certain times of the year to decorate the castle of repaint -- whatever they need to do. My planner told me that somestimes it up and sometimes it isnt. If the crane is up, the photographer will try to shoot around it and if it get in the shot, they will try to photoshop it out.

Toni - did you already add epcot to your mk photo shoot? Is it $300.00? I wasn't sure if they raised the price since the last time I heard about it.

Tammy - Meri told me this just the other day. I hate that crane lol. My MK shoot is scheduled for Tuesday at 6am (the day after your wedding!).

Another bride told me that her planner told her the crane was going to be up during her MK shoot. But when they arried at MK, the crane wasn't up. So lets cross our fingers and hope that we get lucky and they won't work on the castle on our wedding and mk shoot days.

Oh I hope it isn't up for us. Some one should tell them to take a week off. My MK shoot is on the Wednesday. I will be so said to see it there. If it's there they better be super good at photoshopping. The last thing I want to see in any of my pictures is the stupid crane.

Tammy - are you planning to buy the cd of your MK shoot? Or are you just going to go with the 12 print folio that comes with it?

Just the 12 print folio for now. Well we are actually using Disney for our photography for everything so we went with the 10 hr package. With that package we get the 12 print folio and a "20 x"24 portrait. Besides you get all the 4x6 pictures from the shoot too. Or so I've heard. I've also heard that if you wait 3 years and then contact Disney about the CD you can get it for a $100. That is if you can wait 3 years.

Ok - I didn't realize you were using DIsney photography. So your MK pictures will probably be included on your cd anyway.

I don't know about the wait 3 years and get the cd for $100 rule. I believe I read in another thread that they no longer do that.

I added HS instead of Epcot and it was $300.00 more so now the MK and HS photos will be 1300.00 all together. I didn't think that was too bad and I love the buildings in HS!

I have an MK + Epcot shoot booked for now, but really... the thing that has me freaked out about the crane is that you can see it from the WP!!

It'll be a gorgeous view in the beautiful WP with a wonderful window framing.... a CRANE!

Hmm... then again how visible is the crane in the dark during the MK shoot? Mine is at 5am so it'll be completely dark.

Still, stupid WP view of the crane. My planner totally didn't tell me anything about this.

I think you can do an Epcot and HS shoot if you want to. You would probably have to double check with your planner. Cost wise, it'll be cheaper too.

Almost all of the 5am shoots are pretty dark, so you may not even be able to see the crane. My WP told me that they would photoshop the crane out if it gets in the pictures. But she said that they usually just try to shoot around it. My shoot is a 6am so I hope they do a really good job shooting around it or photoshopping.

You can still purchase the CD after three years for a cheaper price, but it isn't $100 any more. I know lurkeyloo had posted the new prices a while back but I don't remember for sure what they were. I was thinking maybe $350 for escape and $500 for wishes ?? I am sure someone will come along and correct me.

Keep in mind though, that Disney only keeps images for 5 years, so if you don't purchase all your photos and/or cd within 5 years, you are screwed. (I did confirm this with DPS directly) DPS didn't shoot our wedding, but we did do the MK shoot. I will be purchasing the CD after the 3 year wait.
