Should I do one or two days at US/IOAs?

This trip is going to include a 7 day visit to WDW. We plan on staying onsite at Universal arriving Friday afternoon. So the question is should we do Friday US, checkout Sat and do IOA's? Money is an issue as we would like to save dollars where possible. Would it be better to check out on Sunday? Would checking out Saturday ruin the experience?

Given your schedule, it sounds like you have a day-and-a-half. Even with Unlimited Express (included with your on-site stay), I don't think that's enough to see everything in both parks. However, can you hit all the headliners with Express in that time? Yes, I think so....

Be aware that two headliners, Forbidden Journey at IoA and Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit at the Studios do not accept Express, so you will have to wait like everyone else. Both of these rides have single-rider options, though, allowing for shorter wait times. FJ's single-rider is almost always open, while HRRR is hit-or-miss.

ETA: How many park hours does your Friday afternoon arrival give you? If four or more, I still think you'll be okay. Any less and it'll be rush-rush-rush much of the time.

Agreed. :thumbsup2
