I am currently just in a planning ahead for a future trip mode right now. I would prefer to go sometime between April-October but that part isn't really important at this moment. It would just be my mom and I on this trip and I would like to stay for at least 4 nights and go to at least 2 parks. I've never stayed at a deluxe resort before.
A: Poly- My mom has always wanted to stay here and it is right next to MK, which is our favorite park. The only reason this resort is on my list is because she has ALWAYS (always) wanted to stay here. But it is kind of far away from everything else. We love going to DS and even though Epcot is just two monorail rides away it is still kind of far. Also we enjoy taking walks around the resort at night and Poly doesn't have a loop walking path. Poly is probably my #3 choice.
B: Yacht/Beach Club- I don't really have a preference over YC or BC because they both get to use the same pools and the location doesn't matter that much to me. I think it would be amazing to stay anywhere in the Epcot area and be able to walk to Epcot/HS. We've taken the bus to the parks so many times and being able to walk right into both HS and Epcot in the morning sounds amazing to me. The pools also look great with the slide and lazy river. There is also a great mile walking path for us. The resort is kind of in a central WDW location so it is equal distance to everything(kinda). Only downside is I have been on the bus to and from this area before to get to DS and I remember it being super crowded. This place is probably my first choice right now.
C: Port Orleans Riverside or FQ- This is kind of our "home" resort. We haven't stayed here in quite a while and we both really love it. I think I would only choose this resort because it is a lot cheaper than the deluxe options. We really love this resort and it is close to DS. But my other 2 options (Poly & YC) both have super easy access to at least 1 park. POR/FQ does not. We have to take the bus to get to any park. This is probably my second choice.
Idk. What do you all think? I really don't see Poly as being a real contender for me at this point. If you have any suggestions or comments to help me pick that would be great.
