Should I change and go in December?

Gosh I am sure you are tired of all the questions. This is becoming like an obsession now. Four parks in four days. We are driving from Phoenix so we are honestly flexible on our travel time. We have a huge vacation coming up in January with a Caribbean cruise.

However we are a little disappointed that It's a Small World will be closed during our planned visit the first week of November for Christmas decoration installations. I was thinking of changing our SoCal trip to the first week of December just after Thanksgiving. Other threads intrigue me about seeing DL decorated for Christmas. I wonder if SW or the WAP would have any decorations as well.

Ms. Flagger is worried about the weather differences between one month to the other (chances for rain, etc.). I have not checked out any price differences for hotels yet.

Do any of the locals or Nov vs. Dec attendees have any input about changing dates with regard to crowds, weather, etc.?

Thanks

If you really like Small World, you will love the holiday overlay. The outside of SW is stunning and the inside is fun for the holidays.

While the weather is a little less predictable in early December, it's usually pretty nice. I have gone later in the month and it has been warm enough to swim; I've also encountered rain in mid December, but usually not too much. Jan and Feb tend to be the wettest months.

If you can go in early December, I would recommend it. The holiday parade will be running, the parks will be fully decorated, and the crowds will be light. I can't think of a better time to go. The only drawback is that since it is off-season, some parades and shows will not be running every day. I recommend staying at least one weekend night.

We here is our schedule for November.

Tuesday drive from PHX to SD.
Wednesday at SW
Thursday Check out...visit WAP drive to Anaheim
Friday visit DL...parade, fireworks
Saturday EA into DL...brunch at Goofy's Kitchen
Visit CA after. Block party at 5:15
Sunday vist DL again or head home depending on how wiped we are after four parks in four days.

The Ramada is actually $10 cheaper for that first week in December

The WAP does have a Festival of Lights in December--not sure of the dates, though.

Festival of Lights Hours (December 9 thru 23, December 26 thru 30):
9 a.m. to 8 p.m. (grounds close at 9 p.m.)

I think I am going to get overruled by Ms. Flagger as her schedule is lighter in November than in December. Perhaps we can do WDW in December 2007 instead of January 2008 as per the current plan.
