Should I cancel trip due to crowds?

My family will be in the Orlando area April 18-22. We plan on visiting Universal one day and IOA the other. I am getting concerned that the lines and crowds will be too much and perhaps we should skip it. We are a family of six and this is costing a lot as it is. Can I enjoy the park without purchasing six Express Passes for $35 each? Can we get the chit for a ride while waiting on lines for other rides? Those of you with experience, please advise. We did do Disney 5 years ago and we were able to FastPass all day and this worked fine. Thanks in advance. :sad2:

I take it you aren't staying onsite? My advise would be to get to the parks before they open. You can get the main rides done right away without any lines and then enjoy the minor rides and shows later on. It can work, but you just have to get there early before the crowds.

Thanks for your reply. No, we are not staying on site. Need to save where I can.

Yes, we will be there an hour before the park opens to get on the rides early. We did this in Disney and it seemed to work for us. Thanks for your advice. :yay:

If you are considering buying express passes for six at 35.00 each thats only for one day, one time fotl at each ride, 210.00 total .
one night at royal pacific 209.00 ( 2 days unlimted front of the line at both parks)
plus a very nice hotel, and water taxis to the parks and pool hoping...etc.
maybe something to think about.
