For the first time I am planning a trip a year out. We are going for a week in February 2005. We are planning on 3 nights WL on the Silver plan and 4 nights AKL conceirge. I want a whole year pay for this as it make it feel less painful.:p

Should I go ahead and book now? Can I book now? The Disney site will not let you book online this far out. Are there any advantages or disadvantages to booking this far out.

You can book a room by calling- I know the website will only do it 10 months before, no sooner. If you book a room-only reservation you will need to place a deposit on the room (and with 2 reservations, two deposits) of one night's stay within 2 weeks of reserving the room. Then you have lots of time to pay the balance (the exact time frame is escaping me  ). With a room only reservation you can cancel it for a full refund up to 5 days before check-in. You can also add the silver plans at check in- I don't believe there is any discount in adding them earlier. It is never too early to book if you want to be sure the room you want is there!
Post on the budget board to see if the silver add-on is the best deal for you. I looked into it for our last trip and it did not benefit us $ wise.
