I'm a Walt Disney World fanatic (I have never been to land). I love the ride music and audio on live 365, but I want to own some. I have "the official Disneyland/world" cd from the 90's , but would I like the 50th CD? I mean I know it is Disney Land, but arent there enough similarities for this to be fun. I would get the "Where the Magic is.." or whatever from Disney World, but there is so much overlap in songs. Atleast the 50th cd has the mansion and pirates run through of the ride correct? Anyone who has this give me a good review.

Coming from someone who has been to DL 12 times, the 50th anniversary CD collection is incredible!! If you're more familiar with DW, I don't know if it would mean as much. The CD has the soundtracks to all of the DL attractions and shows, so some would be the same or similar to DW and some would be exclusive to DL.

Thanks -- I like that it has the whole Haunted Mansion ride and Pirates (I think so atleast). I saw somewhere there is a snippit of jungle cruise? Is that correct? Any other little snippets. I would like some of Star Tours (the robot talking) ...any other surprises than the ones listed in the tracks? Thanks!

The 50th Anniverary CD is SOOOOO Great. It has the entire "Good Morning Song" complete with train sounds from the MK welcome, the entire Splash Mountain ride, and (our favorite)almost the entire script (including character dialogue and audience reaction - only the prolonged evil witch/villan part was cut out, I am thinking to keep it from being scary on a CD) from the old Cinderella's Surprise show that got replaced by Cinderellabration.

There's also lots of lost songs: the original Journey into Imagination, Kitchen Kabaret, the original Tiki Bird (as well as the updated version), etc.

Definately worth the money. We listen to it all the time & it's great background for slideshows of trip pictures.

I have it and love it. I also paid just over $100 for it and now it is only $59.99 at disneyshopping.com

Please tell me how to find it on the disneyshopping.com site - I can't find it!

Thanks.

I found it there a few weeks ago by looking for the sale items; if you are on the disney shopping online email list, you get discounts on a fairly regular basis -- you may also be able to take advantage of that discount. DVC members used to get a discount, but I don't know if we still do.
My most recent emails had a 30% off code -- I don't know if it will work on the cd set or note (funsavings). And -- Free shipping for orders over $100 (ship100).
Happy shopping! We got the set and have been enjoying the music and reliving some great memories. :cheer2:

OP - are you talking about the 6 CD set of DL's 50th anniversary? If so, there is just a snippet of the Jungle Cruise (sound of the boat). But it has the whole soundtracks for Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, Country Bear Jamboree, Small World, Star Tours, Carousel of Progress, and Fantasmic (these are the attractions that would be the same at both DL and DW). The official title of the CD set is "50th Anniversary - A Musical History of Disneyland". I believe if you go on Amazon, it lists many of the tracks...I think! :)

When I click on your link it says "item not available". :confused3

Darn I was going to tell my DH to get it for me for X-mas.:sad1:

Is the 2-Disc set still available anywhere? I'd like to have the original Journey into Imagination ...

... I'm going to go out on a limb and assume there's nothing current that has the Electrical Light Parade Soundtrack?

We bought in the parks last summer. It's FABULOUS. It has Soarin and all the music from AK (including the entry music from Tough to Be a Bug) and MGM (Star Tours, TOT, Indiana Jones) as well. Fun, fun, fun.
